Nice. Crazy day. I drove one of the D60LFR 21000series #2. We had a route to 4th Ave. 4th & Macdonald was a tight turn but no problem with the 60 not tight as #8 turn Broadway/Fraser which is my regular.

I called them and suggested that there be bathrooms on the buses leaving the ferry terminal because I always have to go halfway between the ferry terminal and Bridgeport

So you have all the time to go on the ship or in the terminal but want washrooms on the bus instead? Sounds like bad resource management to me. You should be lucky you even have washrooms at the terminal to begin with.

Wow just 5 cm of clearance in the Massey Tunnel is crazy! Any slight buckle or bump in the road surface or even the bus itself bouncing up and down slightly will send the bus careening into the roof. No doubt some scrapes and scratches on the roof already from such tight clearance.

Last time I checked there is additional leeway between the posted height limit and the actual structural height measurements. Still not much leeway overall though.

Hmm is Translink the only city in the world to use E60LFRs? I would’ve thought there’d be more than just Vancouver. Must’ve been an extremely expensive order for Translink considering how exclusive the buses are. I would’ve thought in a capitalist country like Canada, the buses would be more standardized and built for multiple transit agencies.
