Those are beautiful airplanes in the air. I worked for the Forest service and when we got launched to a fire, we would sometimes group up and it was amazing to see them next to us around 2500 feet.

We will always love Dromaders for their sound and fugly looks. The farmers still fly them here in Hungary.

ON A HOT DAY AND THE HOPPER IS FULL THE TURBOS WILL TAKE WAY LONG ROLL.
@wms16504 жыл бұрын
@@SaltyDawg-wu5kr Capt. Salty, about 1972-1974 I loaded for an ag service that flew an S2 Snow and a Thrush Commander R. I think were the models. Both used P&W 1340s. Anyway on hot days, South Arkansas, about 100F, full fuel and 300 gal in hopper the planes would use almost all the 3000' grass runway. Empty they could be airborne in about 300'. I loved the sound of the big radials. A banker bought an F4 Corsair and kept it at the flying service. Now that was a sound of power. That was a long time ago.

Correct. Standard for Asz62ir was 4 blade propeller. As in An-2.

what does the camels mean on the sides?
@philnyc6 жыл бұрын
That camel is a Dromader - a single hump type :). The planes resembles a Dromader when you look at it, that's where the names comes from. YW.

To taki "hłyt matertingowy" :)
