Hi there Rainbow Gift!!!! I hope you'll see this, your post was 4 years ago! I wanted to thank you for the lyrics. And I thought you would think this is so funny. We were in LA, actually Venice Beach at a club named the Marquee. I had invited about 12 industry people (we were trying to get STP a record deal 😊. Industry only gig). Well, the club was occupied for a Spanish bar mitzvah, & I was singing songs to my friends to keep them entertained until we could go eat. Could Have Lied was one of my very favorite songs at the time. Tony came later ~ & I knew him from NY but I thought he did A&R like me, I didn't know who he was. I sang Could Hv Ld while he was hanging out with us, & I sang the lyrics wrong 😮😮😅😅!!!! He mentions it in By The Way. In the early 90s if the lyrics weren't in the album or cassette you did the best you could. I actually didn't know I'd sang his song to 'him' wrong until I heard By The Way & recognized what we had done that night, Tony & so many of us!! How embarrassing for me, but I bet he enjoyed not being recognized. He was a super guy to have as a friend, like an industry friend. Once I knew who he was, I hate to admit, I was "fanning" on him a little. Suck My Kiss is so bad a**! And Soul to Squeeze. If you ever see this, would you share how The Chilies changed or affected your life??? I think they're one of the most important bands of our era. heidescope @yahoo! Xoxo for the lyrics❤❤❤❤❤
