Miner's Lane in Waterford, CT is one of the only shoreline railroad crossings, and the only one on public property. I spent a couple of hours one afternoon and managed to catch a few Northeast Regionals.

Not sure where you heard this was the only crossing on the Shore Line on public property? Miners Lane, Bank St, State St, Gov Winthrop, School St, Broadway Ext, Latimer Point Road, Wauhmpassuc Point Rd and Palmer St are all public roads.

Great Northeast Regional action, HHP-8 double header was excellent! One of few crossings on the Northeast Corridor, is only 110 mph max allowed?

Fastest crossing on the NEC is Palmer St. 90MPH for Acela's there.
