Amtrak and Shore Line East Trains at Miner's Lane

Of the eleven grade-crossings still located on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor, Miner's Lane is one of the few without a quiet-zone restriction. This crossing is located about 2 miles west of New London's Union Station. About 45 trains pass through this crossing per day. Currently Northeast Regional, Acela Express, Shore Line East, and the Providence and Worcester Railroad pass this crossing.
In this video, we see several Northeast Regional, Acela Express, and Shore Line East trains passing through the crossing, sounding their horns as they do. Enjoy the action!

Love this railroad crossing. This is one of the few where they use the horn and go fast. I was gonna go to one of the ones by Elihu Island and Walkers Dock but someone recommended this crossing as this one was on a public road.

it's an ex-Amtrak P42 given to Shore Line East. The color scheme is still the same, only thing is that the locomotive itself doesn't actually say "Amtrak" on it.
