(HD) TS2016 - Trainspotting at Thirsk (2015)

Another TS2016 trainspotting video, this was done as a request from a mate of mine so I have uploaded it for everyone else to enjoy. It takes place in December 2015 so look out for Claus 91 91128 rolling by! Features the usual passenger traffic but lots of freight are also included.

The reason the front is different as there is no 185 for Train sim yet so often (like here) people substitute a 170 in and renumber it

3:00 Why is there a train numbered 185133 but with a look of a Turbostar?

+Victor Tsai It is supposed to be a class 185 but there is no 185 model in-game yet so I used a FTPE class 170 to substitute them.

+Deleted Milton Keynes Central doesn't really exist in the game yet although there is a freeware route including it but I haven't got that route and don't intend to.

I don't see the point of overhead wires when practically every train that passes is diesel powered, just a few electric.

+Jus D'orange What you have to remember is that despite the ECML itself being electrified, many of the trains that run on it operate to places where electrification is yet to be implemented. Take the Transpennine Class 185's for example, the reason they run diesels up and down the mainline is because their trains run from York to Manchester Airport, and between York and Manchester Piccadilly, the line is solely for diesels meaning they have to operate diesels up the ECML (Until Network Rail finish electrifying the Manchester to York line). SImilar story with 185's on the West Coast Mainline, they operate to places like Windermere which don't have electric cables. This is an issue that CrossCountry have to deal with everyday operating on many electrified and non electrified areas of the country on a single journey.
