I worked as a fueler at pdx for a time and spent time fueling Horizon Air planes including this very one. I'm sure that's of great interest to everyone... Anyway, i do have an interesting story about this very plane though. Happened on my day off. We used tanker trucks to fuel all these horizon air planes and the pilots would fill out a fuel slip and if we weren't already there waiting, would bring it out and put it in the fuel door behind the right side engine. So this day, the pilot brings it out and as he's getting out there the fueler showed up so the pilot just walked up to the truck and gave it to the fueler as he was pulling up. Well, the fueler, who was new(was actually in my training class) didn't pay enough attention and had gotten a bit out of position to meet the pilot and long story short, swiped the side of the tanker across the back of the fuselage of this plane. Knocked the plane out of service for a while. Still remembered it's designation number so just looked it up and found this vid. cool that it's still flying.

How'd ya like it? Do a Q400 from Portland to Vancouver quite often on Alaska and they're my favorite airplanes if I have to fly regional.

United seriously needs to get rid of these ass planes along with the ERJ 145. JetBlue hates their E190.. United should hit them up and take it off their hands. There is no reason United should still be operating this thing
