Actually, maayos mga content nito ni LC. Hindi basta basta. May decent research na ginawa at may budget para sa animation. Isa pang gusto ko dito kay LC ay hindi hinahaluan ng pulitika ang mga contents. Purely about military technology and terms. Hindi katulad ng mga nag cocomment and ibang military content creator. Obvious naman yung ibang content creator puro panatiko, walang research na ginagawa bago mag vlog. Basta lang makapuri sa iniidolo nila at makagawa ng "vlog" at humakot ng views. Sa mga nagsasabing bakit inilalabas ang mga specs ng weapon systems, lahat yan ay available sa public database or public domain, meaning nasa Google at Wikipedia yan kahit i-check nyo pa. Kung classified information yan, wala mismong technical specs na mailalagay yan si LC dahil hindi yun available sa publiko at malamang marereport ang channel nya kung mapatunayang totoo na nagle-leak sya ng classified technology. Maybe for my understanding why the Corvette is more capable is that when the Philippines purchased the frigate it had budget issues while when they purchased the Corvette it got leeway.

It's more like lessons learned by PN after the Jose Rizal class' purchased. PN originally wants 6 air defense frigates based on their 'Desired Force Mix 2020'. What they got in Jose Rizal class is just a decent light frigate with just point air defense system if armed with ESSM/VL-MICA/Sea Ceptor/K-SAAM. You can't call a frigate armed with just ESSM as an air defense frigate as they can only defend themselves and not the other ships in a naval task force. Real air defense frigates should ve armed with at least medium range ship to air missiles (SAM) like the American SM-2, European Aster 30, or Israeli Barak 8.

@@paulsteaven Yeah, it seems like this new purchase is just the right one. Maybe they can just convert Jose Rizal class into corvette instead and PN will just purchase better more equipped frigates in the near future. PN really needs more of these ships to be ordered with complete armaments. PN don't need the top-of-the-line ones, it needs very capable ones that are well equipped for modern combat in huge numbers. Then hopefully PN can get several destroyers as well for better defence capabilities. Huge numbers of these ships will be good deterrence.

Tingin ko kaya tinawag tong corvette dahil baka ang susunod na frigate orders baka mas malaki na ang displacement at weaponry. So yung current Jose Rizal class frigates magiging corvette din. Pero sana kahit HDC 3200 at Jose Rizal class lang, dapat damihan muna tong mga warships na kompleto sa gamit at extra supplies. Kaya nga sabi, nasa numbers game din to. Expected na may masisirang barko, so kahit pa may masisira pa pero mas marami ang reserve, okay lang dahil maraming backup at means marami ang pwede ma deploy kahit saang sulok ng bansa na may maraming fleet.

IMHO this is the first fully capable Philippine Surface Combatant. In the Surface Combatant crawl, walk, run before you fly . . . this is just starting to run. To step up the game a non-rotating main sensor is needed with greater track stores for high count raid attacks with simultaneous drone attacks, longer range missile added, and helo deck upgraded to hand an H-60 class helicopter. Multiple fire control directors are needed for saturation missile attacks. The '45 seconds to impact' scenario is in affect and the platform must be able to survive that. This vessel has a shot . . . but the crew would have to be ON THE BALL and be ready to act instantly with these systems, and a rotating ELM-2258 radar. If a ELM-2248 MF STAR non-rotating radar is used then some seconds will be gained in detection, track, engage sequence. The Philippines needs to stand up a Philippine Aegis CSEDS (Combat System Engineering [and test] Development Site) for development of their new surface combatant systems. It would be best if it is near a coast for missile tests.

Madalas na ginagamit sa blue water operations.

Rizal class frigates are not really frigates but corvettes. They are both corvettes. Raleigh Burke frigates are almost 3x bigger.
