I have experience with both HDFC and Axis bank customer services. If I have to tag the banks into the categories of bad, worse and worst, then HDFC falls under bad, and Axis falls under worst. Axis bank is a hypocrite in many sense. The contact numbers mentioned on their site for some branches do not work, but they never updated it even after providing feedback, the bank representatives are not at all serious towards their customers, and have so many bad reviews. HDFC is better in all these services compared to Axis. 10 yrs being their customer and I never had too many issues with HDFC, be it netbanking, re-issue or instant block of cards and services and their customer care support. But with Axis, so many issues. But yeah, HDFC and other banks do a lot of advertisements regarding loans and offers, which is very annoying.
