Almost eight years later and I still come back to this time after time. Feels like the Beijing Olympics were just yesterday. But man Nastia was probably one of the most graceful gymnasts ever.. I'm a dancer and I'm so incredibly jealous of her legs and feet. Her lines are just gorgeous!! She's my favorite gymnast of all time.

"Wow! Stunning! The best!" says it all for me! No one does it like Nastia! There is a fluidity, wholeness, and grace in her work that is such a joy to watch. The pointed toes, graceful arms, straight legs. I've been watching complicated routines of recent years. Without the graceful dance elements as Nastia mastered, they are missing something...as difficult and complicated as they are.

I am going to sound pretentious, but Laurie and Simone's routine lack FLUIDITY. Beam is about effortlessly connecting all of your skills with grace. Simone is rock solid on the beam as well as Laurie, but they just don't have that style that Nastia has.

I think she was the last graceful gymnast. Sanne Wevers, who won the gold on balance beam in Rio, had a similar style, but she's a beam specialist and was never an all-around contender.

The Wolf turns drive me crazy! They all look like they’re going to fall, always wobbly. Gymnastics has really deteriorated over the years. All the grace and beauty is gone, it’s all about who can get the highest most powerful tumbling pass everything else has fallen by the wayside

I have very fond memories of this Olympics. I was jsut some gamer kid stuck in my room playing counter strike but it was Nastia who let me come out to watch and gain appreciation for the sport. Over a decade later still here.

Danielle Sprinkles She didn't make it because she waited a long time before coming back. Nastia had to get into incredible shape before this, and she didn't have time. At least with her, she brought home a medal in every event she qualified for (although her bars shouldn't have been since they were ugly).

If she was just s few months younger she could have competed in 2004. She was beating the seniors, with exception to Carly, back then. If only she would have started training earlier for 2012. I would have loved to see her UB & BM again.

It's crazy to me that next year, this routine will be a decade old. 10 freaking years. in my opinion, the 08 Beijing Olympics were the best Olympics of this generation. If your in your early 20s or late teens, chances are the Olympic Games you remember best is 2008 one. such nostalgia!

I know this was so long ago but I think I have a new appreciation for Nastia. I was always a power gymnast and related more to Shawn, I wanted Shawn to win the all around so bad. I felt so clunky on beam and bars, I think I was jealous of Nastia, which is so weird to say, but hey I was only a teenager, the same age as Nastia actually, damn emotions don't know what they're talking about. Anyway, the point is, Nastia absolutely deserved the All Around gold even though to me she wasn't the favorite at all to win. Love her so much after all these years, so graceful and everything I could never be. What's the walkover thing? Onodi? Gorgoeous, she's such a pro at them.

Ok so the score on this was 16.125. In the event final she got a 16.025. There were some slight balance checks but a stuck landing her, but in the event final she was perfect aside from a hop on the landing of the dismount.
