What a fabulous aircraft. Thanks for the video. Way back in the '60s, the Indian Air force maintained a fleet of these aircraft ( we called them Dakotas) in an airfield located at Jorhat, a town in Upper Assam, northeast India. We used to wake up every morning to the sound of the Dakota engines revving up. It was a part of our childhood and so reassuring!

yeah. Landing back when, they three pointers unless the wind was high and especially during a cross wind close to the max permitted. in that case they did what was 'a wheeler landing'.
