I bought the sheet music to make it easier to follow along; annoyed to find that is different in quite a few ways to what is taught in this tutorial :( I can't find any sheet music that is really accurate to the recorded music.

Kygo himself has stated that both pronunciations are ok. In interviews you'll hear him go with the "american" version when he speaks english, while when he speaks norwegian, he'll say it the "european" way, though it's rather the norwegian way.

Yes! There will be a *couple* bass notes during the low octaves that will be out of range, but those can easily be omitted (just play the top note of the octave when the other's out of range).

We're not affiliated with any piano manufacturer and don't receive any kickback by suggesting a certain brand, but we can say anecdotally that there are two models that are relatively affordable and well suit a beginning pianist. Casio Privia PX-160 g.co/kgs/Zj6CFb or Yamaha P-125 (or P-115): g.co/kgs/AQ816s The goal should be to find something that has built-in speakers, weighted action, and a nice piano sound (we find that the fewer bells and whistles a digital piano has, the better its piano sound). Hope this helps - good luck getting started!

Well most of the people say kygo (American version) because they think he’s english but he is in fact norwegian and in norway you pronounce it kygo in the european way because that’s how he pronounces it when he speaks norwegian but you’re free to pronounce it as you want

With the octaves in the LH, you can safely leave out the lower of the two notes. This should help bring you within the range of your keyboard. Try out different registers and trust your ear on what sounds good to you!

I think it’s pronounced keego in a European way but pronounced kiego in American it’s not one specific one it’s the same thing just with different accents (and it was originally pronounced keego bc he was with a European accent at the time ;))
