I was also wondering about the HDR Tone Mapping setting. I think non-Dolby signals look better with Gradation Preferred, like you have in the video itself, as opposed to Off or N/A as you have listed here in the comments, but since there is conflicting advice here I was just wondering if you could clarify which one it's supposed to be.

Just wanted to stop by to say that these calibration settings look excellent on my 55" A80J. I tried both these settings as well as the settings that Classy calibrated for a user on AVS forums and I prefer these. I feel like these settings the colors just seem a bit richer and a bit warmer. I was kind of skeptical since these were done for a 77" which has a slightly different panel, and of course because 20pt white balance is specific to an individual TV. Have to say that my A80J looks superb now though, appreciate you sharing. The Dolby Vision settings are also excellent as well as the SDR, but the vast majority of what I watch is HDR so these are the most standout.

Yeah the reason these are better than classy or classless is these were done by somebody much better that actually teaches him everything he knows. Samie is the best in the business.classlessness tried to come in my Community and tell me what I can do with my settings after I paid. They become mine. And he thought it was not in Samie’s best interest even though I got the go ahead from him to ask for donations! Long store short Samie is there teacher and there mentor glad you like them!

What's the movie? I'm going through this extremely helpful series of videos and actually am having a hard time finding non-Dolby Vision hdr content. Maybe that's a good problem to have but I'd like to just set everything up now before I actually want to watch something. Settings look great so far, btw. Really happy I stumbled across the channel. Hi! I have a Sony A80j 77inch that's start to dim especially on Dolby Vision Dark . I watched Dune 2 chapter 1 previously in DV dark and I noticed a significant color change from bright orange to red orange . It's seems that the ABL is applied on A80j on that scene . I like the picture with the bright orange . I tried other 4k blu-ray with DV and there not as bright as is used to be. I always watched DV in Dark. Any idea if this is a permanent with Sony A80j ora good setting for Dolby Vision for 4k blu-ray movies. Thanks in advance.

I realized the reason why the settings didn't worked was because I used the 20 pt value settings of SDR on Expert 2 and Warm and they use different values because the color space is different and DV demands also calibration with Warm with another WP in different 20 pt for that, I saw a comment of Sammie here on the videos where he confirms he used different 20 pt values for those two, possibly even it's own per color adj for Custom 2 and both DV settings (not the 20 pt but the ones at the bottom). Im so sorry to bother but is there any chance you could have an update and provide the full values for Expert 2 and Warm and also any per color adj for custom 2, DV Bright and Dark. It's impossible for me to get it calibrated not a single calibrator in my country thank you Fade for this videos

Thanks FADETOBLACK and others who contributed settings that you have published. What I (and I'm sure many others would like) is a spreadsheet of the various modes and their settings, with comments where applicable, and as they apply to the various HDMI connections. I started doing one myself but realised that there is too much that I do not understand and therefore my comments, in particular, could be inaccurate or misleading. I would be a paying customer for sure .

No expert one is for SDR and 4K expert two is for HDR That’s according to Samie Prescott. Just passing on the exact information that I got from him.

The problem with that is you’ll have to wait till Black Friday to pick up a good sale. I will tell anybody not to buy a TV right now at full retail price. I do not believe in buying TVs at full retail I don’t care what TV it is. I did that one time and super regretted it! I’ll never forget five grand for a 65 inch TV. Still have the receipt😳

Hi i have same setting for hdr with black level 49 much better can see difference instantly from 50 to 49 and I don’t use the calibration colours and looks amazing

James these calibration settings are designed for my exact TV. Differences will vary because this exact settings were for my TV only. I’m just sharing these out of a courtesy hoping that maybe some of you out there can get close to what I’m viewing🥂 So if it looks better on 49 by all means leave it there.
