Hi! I have a Sony A80j 77inch that's start to dim especially on Dolby Vision Dark . I watched Dune 2 chapter 1 previously in DV dark and I noticed a significant color change from bright orange to red orange . It's seems that the ABL is applied on A80j on that scene . I like the picture with the bright orange . I tried other 4k blu-ray with DV and there not as bright as is used to be. I always watched DV in Dark. Any idea if this is a permanent with Sony A80j ora good setting for Dolby Vision for 4k blu-ray movies. Thanks in advance.

The bad part here, is both tvs would be in max brightness setting while on display. Mini will look a little washed, curious about when it's not turn all the way up, if contrast compared better

It’s never recommended to copy the advance settings. All panels are different, that’s why if you go to 10 calibration sites each one will have different values. You either need to have the equipment and software to do it yourself or pay to get it calibrated.

You can find anything online there's plenty of online websites that have amazing 4K and Blu-ray deals. Everyone thought records would go away someday and they never did. It'll be the same for DVD. It's here to stay

Actually, the first blu-ray player was a Samsung BDP-1000. And Sony has a premium p4k player (UDB-X800M2) that has great build quality. But your point is taken. Everyone cheap out now.

Hello. I purchased a UB9000 five months ago. After two months, it began to make noise when playing Blu-rays during the first 5-15 minutes of the film; then the noise stops. With 4K Blu-rays, the noise is louder and persists beyond the beginning of the film! Have you experienced similar issues?

X95L wins this duell. Color accuracy is crazy, the OLED is very blue-ish. For a Movie Fan x95L is the way to go

I’m most likely going have start a 8K disc Alliance and/ USB-C option with Hollywood I’m would have making a 8K disc blu-ray or the HVD technology and with the technology of growing diamonds it should be cheaper; I love older remotes of 2000-05 error; I will mostly likely pickup a few more of Sony BDP-S1; love this high end design; titles after 2010 I used a newer Sony blu-ray; I might go with a Panasonic and/or Pioneer BD / 4K so can play titles after 2010; Sony will be getting a contract with Disney after summer 2024 for Disney 4K/ BD/ DVDS releases of Disney Home disc media unfortunately Disney club most likely will be ending then;

This is so funny, I just bought an LG tv and have iceage throughout my older TV. I was faced with the challenge of switching out the LG. As you see theirs are different due to the adapter so I stumbled on this video. First I must say the ice age cable are awesome. Night and day on all my applications. The funny things is this you created this video 4 years ago and it is still very relevant. I noticed another you tuber changing it out with regular spade female spades. I am trying to decide which way sounds best. Is LG adapter cheaply made?

did this and hit refresh it did connect but no Custom for Pro modes are there do you have any idea why? i really want these settings and am happy to drop some money if you can help, my phone and tv both on the same wifi and it did say connected but no result

I've gone through and input all these settings for each signal type, including the corrected advanced color settings listed in the comments. Firstly, I have to say, it does look great. My only question or issue is that now there's hardly any difference between Dolby Bright and Dolby Dark. When I toggle back and forth, I can see a very slight shift in the colors, I suppose to compensate for more ambient light, but there's virtually no difference in the actual brightness between Bright and Dark now, which mostly defeats the purpose of those modes, for daytime or nighttime viewing. On the one hand, this is probably because these settings make Dolby Bright more accurate than it used to be (less oversaturated colors and less overblown brightness), but on the other hand, having the two different brightness modes was useful. Anyway, thanks for doing all this. I'm going to live with these new settings for a while and see how I like it, and if I need to I can always go back to the way I had it before.

hey there.. so i’ve been having this issue where ive been having so much input lag on my PS5, even my ps4 and i think it has to do with certain electronic devices we have at home. Im not sure but im guessing the delay/input lag i have comes from dirty electricity or that one electronic device such as an old PC or a newer pc has the wrong voltage settings. So my PS5 gets very hot and the input lag i have is huge. Like the games i play arent playable at all. Is there any way to fix this with another cable or do you have any tips ? Im wired and i mostly play on 10-20ms and i have a gaming screen with 1ms as well. Been going on like this for years i would pay so much to fix it

Not sure how a power cord could make any difference in image quality. I think the difference is perhaps the placebo affect for image quality improvement.

X90L has wider color dynamics, i can see more different color shades of the trees for example
