Leaving Quartzsite and heading to Yuma and our date with Los Algodones, Baja, Mexico and some dental, donuts and shrimp tacos.
More railroad tracks, can we cross them?
Water system problems with a vacuum in our tanks leaking lots of water.
Weather system called an Atmospheric River which is going to hit California and Joshua Tree which is our next stop.
35+ mph winds coming our way. Wow!
Good thing our travel plans are in pencil.
Errands to run so Sondra doesn't freak out on low C02 plus a little chill time at Hobby Lobby.
Quartzsite is all about boondocking in the desert but we're excited to try something different near Yuma.

RV Camping
We like to "Switch it Up" between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.
We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to KZbin channels Suite Travels and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks (Happilyeverhanks) #thankshanks and believe it or not, I actually learned something from MRBeast Mr Beast video's as well.
Our journey is the destination. We want to share in our experiences in our discovery of What's Next.
I get my music from:
Epidemicsound.com
Tracks:
Is This Winter Now by Shirley
Amazon Shop (no extra charge to you)
A convenient way to see (or buy) the items you see in the video's which may help in your adventure.

We use the TSD card for diesel fuel and save a bundle each time we fill up our Big Rig. We also use it to fill up our Onan generator.
The big blue boards (XL version) we use sometimes to get us "un-stuck" is from:
Gotreads.com
Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it's boondocking capabilities.
Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.
Vehicles:
2016 Volvo VNL780 "Voyager"
2016 Smart fortwo "Pathfinder"
2019 SpaceCraft Custom built semi-trailer 5th wheel "Orion"
2023 Thor Magnitude XG32 Class C "Curiosity"
2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara "Artemis"
Power system:
3250 watts of solar with Panasonic panels
30.1 KWH of Lithium batteries
2- 4K watt Magnum Inverters deliver power as if we are on shore power
2- 4K watt 240v Cotek Inverters deliver additional power for our LG Mini split HVAC and stove
Coachnet is our roadside assistance company we use but hopefully we don't use them too often. LOL
We are not sponsored by Whataburger but I do enjoy them anytime I can get my hands on one. They used to be just out of Texas but they have expanded.
BIg Truck Big Travels video's are based on our personal experience and not meant nor portrayed as experts in anything we do or say. It's our life on the road and our opinions are not meant to be construed as advice. Enjoy life on the road.

I’m an aviator, so for the drones I suggest “Maverick” and “Goose” but obviously y’all get the final say in that. Lol 😜 I do have to say that I love watching your videos, it is absolutely amazing to see a couple like you two who are life partners who do everything TOGETHER, and enjoy doing it to the fullest that you possibly can! Most men would rather soak their underwear in gasoline and then run through the red hot flames of hell to get outta going into hobby lobby with their wives, but I think that is a beautiful thing to see a couple who is so happy together, and enjoy every single second they can together, really it is a beautiful thing, it really is! I could only dream of having a life partner like y’all do, you all are very fortunate and lucky to have such a beautiful relationship like that. I already have a 58ft toy hauler Spacecraft RV with a Big Bunk 370ft wheel bace W900L Kenworth ARI Legacy 180” sleeper with a slide out (very nice HDT rig) but I have no life partner at 37 years of age, I lost the love of my life in 2011 due to a tragic accident, but I do still have my 14 year old son. I’d give all that I just mentioned up to have her back, but that’s not gonna happen, I’ll have to enjoy my retirement the best I know how alone, so I’m gonna give you the best advice a younger lesser intelligent man such as myself can give you, and that advice is to NEVER take those moments for granted, because in the blink of an eye they’ll all become a distant memory, I know all about that, first hand. But my son and I thoroughly enjoy your videos, it gives me a special kind of feeling to see someone living out their dreams together, just as y’all do each day!

@@bigtruckbigtravels I remember my late wife loved scrap booking, making hand made jewelry, and stuff like that, so she spent a lot of time in Hobby Lobby and places alike, and when she would go into a place like that, she could spend hours in there, and that would drive me crazy so I’d be rushing her, or sitting out in the vehicle texting and calling her to rush her, but if I had a do-over I’d give her all the time she wanted, then be more supportive of her position’s just as she was those of mine. I don’t see the kinda selfishness I had with you two, it really impressed me how much y’all support one another, and sadly it took losing my wife that I did love dearly with all my heart, to realize how selfish I was. She was a beautiful native Alaskan woman, absolutely gorgeous, in every way, and I was extremely lucky to have her, and our son, but when you are young you tend to take things for granted, even though you love with all your heart. I started watching your channel when I bought my Spacecraft RV, because of your Spacecraft RV, but now I continue watching because it warms my heart to see how much you two enjoy spending each day together, and it brings back the great memories I spent with my beautiful wife. ❤️

Geometry is one of my favorite subjects! RVers use Geometry all the time and don't even know it - especially if they tow a trailer. The blimp is similar to what they called aerostat balloons used in the Gulf of Mexico tethered to tug like boats that feed air/surface tracking to law enforcement. They are primarily utilized by Homeland Security and NORAD, in that region I would imagine data is shared with USC/BP. We had one get away from Aberdeen Proving Ground when it's tether snapped. Sondra, I love your book keeping and role as the lead statistician! I am always amazed watching numbers! (I bet Dave looks a lot closer than he will admit!) Dave... Not sure I understand your water system but it is interesting. If you simply plugged that overflow I suppose your pump would create a vacuum in the tank? If it is setting up some sort of syphon if it gets started by overfilling, how about making a length of hose with the appropriate fitting for the "leaking" pipe and then elevating the other (open) end so that it is higher than the highest level in the tank? Do you think that would stop the leak? Perhaps after the syphon was broken it could be removed, or you could put some kind of screen on the open end of the hose to keep dirt and intruders out if you have to leave it there. Thanks for all of the insight into Mexico in the Yuma area. My wife and I plan on being there in time for Quartzite next year, my first year of retirement. If I see you there, I would sure like to meet you both. ... Mark
@bigtruckbigtravels
@bigtruckbigtravels 3 ай бұрын
It would be great to meet up, Mark. Normally our system does not create this siphon effect when I correctly fill the tank...I was in a hurry and didn't shut it off properly. Yes, you are correct that we had to equalize the system pressure or the water pump would have been impacted. Congrats 👏 on your impending retirement! Lots of fun on the road.
