And now you know why I had a love/hate relationship with the drag races. On the plus side, they didn't take very long to complete... _if you did them right._ But some drag races had some triggered events (trains, cross-traffic, etc) that you had to figure out, or you'd be restarting a whole bunch of times. Also, there was nothing I hated more than coming in 2nd in the last few seconds of a drag race or a knockout race, due to rubberband AI.

Some things you couldn't figure out, because they were triggered. They happened when you reached a certain spot at a certain speed. When you have an opponent on your tail and can't afford to slow down, what do you do about a van that decides to stop on front of you? Winning often depended on certain events happening a certain way, and other events NOT happening a certain way. Difficulty often didn't affect that much, aside from how much money you got & possibly mistake tolerance, if messed up.

The race in the last clip. Imoit wasthe hardest race in the entire game. It requires skill and its super long. On hard if you mess upeven once you'll most likely lose.

I love NFS:U1, but this happened to me multiple times, too. Eventually won, albeit a frustrating experience. I tried Underground 2 and I didn't like it, mainly the open world gimmick. :/ It'd be better without it.
