Yeah, I’ve always had some sort of empathy for the phantom even before we realized he was taking the serum. Whenever I’m sitting thinking about theories and stuff it always leads back to what might have happened to the phantom to cause him wanting to take the serum, whether for Deb or pride, and what caused him to do what he’s doing now. There’s been multiple times where I’ve wanted to give up watching/making theories because I hated, and still do, making him seem like he’s the villain through and through because no matter how you cut it, no one, not even villains, are always bad and they always have reasons for why they do what they do and even though what they had to do was bad they are trying to either get rid of feelings or trying to seek approval from someone. And I think both reasons are the reasons in the phantoms case.

Yeah, I now believe that Ben has been trying not to be violent but due to the stuff that happened, he must’ve finally snapped and the phantom we know today was born. And so when he said Virgo, it’s either referring to someone he used to work with or a project we have yet to see or hear about. The guys need to contact Deb for more information about Virgo and Ben. Before stuff becomes more dangerous or even gets the guys so out of information that they could never have the stuff they need to end it all or Deb is probably playing or planning stuff so the team could always be at more risk than they need to be

Maybe Deb is secretly evil all along. That is what Benjamin has been trying to prove. I think someone else maybe Deb is the killer and that is why everyone was so shocked when seeing the full tape. But then again the tape that we have seen was in a trap that was supposedly made for Deb right? Maybe it wasn't a trap for Deb but a trap made for the first 863 team. Maybe it was to allow the first team to realize they were tricked by Deb. This is just a my thoughts. The Tape that we first seen was put in the trap to make us think Deb was innocent and Benjamin killed Wes. But why was a murder tape put into a trap for Deb that was titled 8/6/3 the name of her project unless her project was to kill Wes and Syphus. It seemed she was high up in the organization. She could possibly take Wes's spot and then kill Syphus as well. It is my theory.

I’ve never trusted Deb. I couldn’t understand how they were so quick to believe her, when the cleaned up tape shows otherwise. On the tape, she and Wes are arguing about Syphus. Wes tells her that she could stop the experiments and stop those people’s pain, but she chooses not to. I’m sorry, but she has been shady as heck the whole time. Also what proof do we have that Syphus is such a bad guy: Deb’s words and the chat logs which we know can be tampered with. We haven’t even had any interaction with Nelson Syphus at all. We were even told that he was unaware of our existence. Deb also lied to the team about Wes. She said they lost contact, she never told them that she suspected he was dead. Her project is titled 863, the date of his death, yet she had no clue? Yeah, I’m not buying it.

Theory: what if when Deb experimented on Benjamin and he was screaming in the background of that tape recorder you found a while back. and when he said "their purpose" I think this is meaning that he once was a leader of a project ( like matt in project 863) lead by deb but it was called a completely different name other than "863". he was most likely a test subject and turned against her once the serum went bad and made him start to act out of control and now he says he wants to "kill her" like he said in the video because of how his new lifestyle is/

Actually watching the video, Virgo suddenly sounds like a name-a second personality within Ben. Maybe Virgo is who we know as the phantom, and this is the first time Ben has actually spoken to us-perhaps the first time he has been able to-before Virgo regained control. It would make sense given how the phantom appeared to go through some sort of psychotic breakdown before regaining control. Maybe it was something the serum did/caused because he’s been taking it for years? Edit: I was looking through some of the comments on the We are 863 video and one of them reminded me of something. I asked it over there but I’ll ask it here as well: Does anyone think this has anything to do with the documents in the mountaineer? The team originally found documents talking all about mind control-maybe it was a process used on Ben, or maybe it was one of the two (Ben or Virgo) trying to figure out how to get rid of the other. What do you guys think?

Another comment here was a reminder that one documented side effect of the serum is multiple personalities, so both things could be at play here - the serum split off the Virgo personality from Ben, and then Syphus was able take control of Virgo's mind to do his bidding. Benjamin may have known that Syphus was working on mind control and heard a rumor that Syphus was planning on using that on employees. Benjamin could have injected himself with the serum hoping to develop a split personality, thinking that might grant him some sort of immunity or protection against the mind control.

@@Dargonhuman You’re completely right-I didn’t even think about that! That does seem like something Syphus would do. Oo, idea-maybe Syphus was the one who upped Ben’s dose of the serum, not Wes. Wes doesn’t seem like the type of person to do something like that regardless-heck he was even telling Ben to not do the experiment-but maybe Syphus upped the dose secretly to get a more violent personality in Ben and then took control of Virgo to make the first phantom. Maybe that was why Ben was acting more violent after the experiment-it was a combination of Virgo taking control and Syphus helping that process along. What do you think?

I never trusted her from the start. She was always being evasive, lying about her identity, drip feeding them information then making them literally beg for more... All signs of a highly manipulative person. Whoever the Phantom is has been a condescending d-bag for sure but other than that he's almost always been honest and straightforward with the team, which to me makes him a bit more trustworthy. The Phantom (or The Absolute or O'Malley or Omega or whatever he's calling himself now) has always made his intentions known from the start - he wants the serum and will do whatever it takes to get it - and his actions have always been working toward that goal. He was even willing to exchange his information with the team for access to the serum towards the beginning before the team threw in with D3B.

@@Dargonhuman Yeah, at one point earlier on, I considered the fact that perhaps the Phantom- Benjamin, the Absolute- is truly the "good" side and that Deb may be the "bad" side. I say those in quotes because there's no real good or bad side here, they've both done some rather questionable things. This episode has brought these thoughts back to light, that Benjamin may also be a victim and that Deb is more than she's been saying.
