@@thefallenprophet9922 Your theory is really good, but I literally just thought about this while reading your comment, what IF...the "journalist" that was documenting stuff inside Syntek was actually hired by Nelson to FIRST document (spy) on Deb, Wes & whomever else...and if I'm not mistaken, Wes and Nelson wasn't entirely seeing eye-to-eye, so MAYBE because that "Journalist" could have been hired by Nelson, he could have sent her to kill off Wes....making him the CEO of the entire company instead of sharing the (I guess) leadership role with Wes 50-50. Before setting this conclusion in stone, we really ought to A) open Wes' filing cabinet for more potential information and B) hear Deb's explanation of events. We need ALL of the facts, not just the ones immediately in front of us.

I rewatched the scene where Mathias was talking to the phantom in the last video, and might have found some things. At one point Mathias goes: ‘you attacked my employees, you hit woods over the head!’, to which the phantom replies: ‘NO I-‘. So far we haven’t got any evidence to believe that there is more than one phantom, and in the video where woods gets hit you can clearly see the red glowing eyes in the background of the scene, so we know the phantom was there. It is also obviously on camera, so what would be the point in trying to pretend you didn’t do it? The only thing that I can think of is how there was the files about mind control and how the serum could allow someone to gain control of someone through it. This could explain how the phantom didn’t technically hit woods out of his own free will, but someone, who I am beginning to suspect could be deb, is using him as a toy to do the dirty work that she doesn’t want to do herself. Then the other thing that I noticed could be how the phantom doesn’t stop mentioning how he and Mathias are the same, and the only thing that I could think of that the two share in common is the fact that they both have untreated serum in their bodies. Maybe if the serum is left too long in someone’s body it will eventually infect the whole thing including the mind, then Mathias could be a drone for deb as well.

If the tape wasn’t doctored, which I didn’t here get brought up but could still be a possibility, then we have to believe Deb is lying. She can’t have good intentions and then lie about hoping Wes is alive. Benjamin could be a good guy being forced against his will to do Deb’s bidding all the while making it look like it’s Syphus’.

I am wondering if like the others Deb was like the others and used herself as a test subject. Since we saw about mindcontrol, she was forced to kill Wes, her love, then after the shot the mindcontrol ended. She was checking his pulse, not taking something from his neck. She ran and called the police, Ben was waiting and took the body away to bury under Syphus' orders. So Deb thought that Wes could still be alive if people came early enough and held onto the hope he was safe.

Theory: The phantom mentioned Virgo in the meeting. He mentioned later that he will - her (YT might remove my comment if I use that word) Maybe it isn't Deb who was the murderer. Maybe it was another woman who worked at Syntec by the name of Virgo, and maybe the phantom had a connection with Wes, hence the fact that he is mad at Virgo and that he constantly checks on Wes' grave.

Ben seemed very fragmented. Maybe that's an aftereffect of the "accident", which now seems maybe like it was on purpose by Deb, but it's almost like parts of himself are split into differing personalities. He does appear to be the same phantom you've encountered the whole time, but thinking back, he kept switching between adult and mature, and childish and lashing out when texting before. In person, it was almost like he was talking to himself and stopping himself. Virgo could be the name of one of his fractured pieces of self, an angry one, and 16-22-01 (I think that was the number) could be a date range, 16th to 22nd of August of 2001 maybe, since August seems to be important, or maybe in June or July that's how long he was in recovery/experimental recovery. If it is dates in August, that's the week immediately before the sign of Virgo, horoscope wise, so maybe that's when he began to fracture and on the 23rd Virgo, one of those pieces of him, was "born". It could also be the date in reverse or in the wrong order, since his memory does seem fragmented, meaning January 22nd, 2016, or the future date of January 16th, 2022. Did something important happen Jan 22, 2016? When I put 16 22 01 in Google, it pops up with a pin in Chad, in Africa also. It could be a time: 16:22:01 is 4:22 pm and one second. Maybe the time of the accident? Alternately, it could be the passcode to something, or potentially a week of possible conception/birth of someone. Maybe something happened and Deb shot Wes because she told him he was pregnant, he got heated, and she pulled a trigger because she was scared? Why she'd have a gun, idk. My mind is just wandering now, but she almost seemed like she was either grabbing something from his neck or checking a pulse, and she flees and looks like she's upset when she does.

2 scenarios, equally likely Scenario 1: Deb had to pull this, and Wes knew it, it wasn't gonna get any attention or set events into motion as long as things stood as is, making Nelson go into a paranoid attack making him shut down his own company so that he'd go dark along with Benjamin. all the while Deb having to hide, never having recovered from the act she had to commit. Scenario 2: Kendall: keep in mind, Kendall is the only other woman we have heard that could have been wrapped up in all of this, waiting there for a drop from Wes, only to have been gotten to by Nelson or Ben and forcefully injected, knowing the horror of the Serum, and told under the promise of an Antidote to kill and collect an object from Wes' body

Throughout this series we have seen numerous instances where the team has constantly made the mistake of having a single tracked mind where they receive any new key piece of evidence and they get highly motivated/influenced by that not taking the time to consider other options. And it is really frustrating to watch those particular parts, I really love the series but I would hope that for later episodes if you could take your time and explore all of the options rather than just be dead set on one thing/idea. I would really love it if you take your time and think about these things slowly like Wes's grave, the murder, the grave apparition, the new murder tape and do things in a systematic manner instead of going with the flow.

But if you’re realistic then a lot of people would be single minded.. not everyone will explore other options ALL THE TIME. It makes sense they think it’s deb because she’s one who has set this up from the begging, if it wasn’t for Deb they wouldn’t be in this situation right now. Jordan is a journalist, the only motive she has to kill Wes is him knowing she’s spying… I don’t think a journalist would go far to MURDER. Correct me if I’m wrong though but wasn’t it hinted that deb knew as well? Which means if jordan murdered Wes to protect her cover then she’d have to kill deb too.

@@cheiart Very true when considering the circumstances and I don't mind Deb being the murderer but I would hope for a bit more discussion or exploration rather than just deciding on something and keep hammering that as the truth. One of the reasons why is that our brains are both highly influenced and malleable, if you keep hammering a single idea or have an extreme amount of belief in something you disregard anything else. Which I don't want to happen and then lead to the downfall of the team in-story.

You can see on the tape that the person who came out of the building entered the car on the driver's side and then after the gunshot a person came out of the passenger's side, so maybe Wes asked Deb to kill him so Nelson couldn't continue his work. Also, for a while, we haven't found anything that incriminates Nelson into all of this. Maybe Nelson wasn't a bad guy, and he was just determined to complete his project. It seems very 1980s, he asks for volunteers and tells them that the project can make them powerful, without telling them all the side effects. It also feels weird that the undercover officer said that he feels like it might not be Deb and then immediately he's like " But that would solve everything! ". It feels like he knows more than he says but someone is telling him not to say stuff.

That is a good theory I have seen someone else comment about the serum possibly giving him something like split personality disorder the way that he all the sudden snaps like that and whenever he messages us that does explain that a little bit well yes in the file it did say that when Benjamin I guess it started taking the serum it did make him more violent which could make him just easily change like that I still support the whole split personality thing That also might explain why he says no I didn't when Matt says you hit Woods over the head maybe it wasn't him it was the other personality so he doesn't remember it

Only halfway through but I see yall are wanting to contact John Doe who could likely be on Debs team. I honestly would talk to Benjamin/Phantom just to see what he'd have to say about it, even if it's non sense. At least he knows what Deb looks like while yall don't. Anyway, I'm glad this isn't just a once a week thing like it was in season 1.. plus I avoided watching this for so long after Matthias came out about the story being fiction.. but I binged the other day and back into it 100%. Definitely best storyline on KZbin and I don't know how you had the patience to do it all, plus all the creativity. As a filmmaker, writer, director, producer, and actor myself..
