Why does Sean want to come after Jimmy? Just cause he's a cop and has to do the right thing? I would think that trying to bring Jimmy down would cause more violence than it would solve.

The gun hand thing at the end means that Sean is gunning for Jimmy. But Jimmy avoided the Just Ray investigation, and will try to avoid the Dave charges. Sean knows he killed both, but proving it is the difficult part. Sean says and implies a lot, but Jimmy never agrees or confirms, as he knows it’ll be admitting he did it, to a cop.

Yes - it was in the script. The man is clergy and wears a priests insignia ring - on his right hand. But you would know that if you actually watched the movie. 🤷
