During that 13 game win streak many different players stepped up. I'm thinking about Andrew Velazquez having 5 RBI's against Boston back in July. Actually, he said that he was making better contact and grounding into a lot of outs in the first half of the season. Then he made an effort to launch the ball more and even though his hard hit contact went down a bit, his average and slugging were way higher in the second half. The Yankees hitting philosophy needs some adjustment. Their hitters had THE highest hard hit rate but one of the lowest averages in the league.

You want to make the bigs as an ump, then you have to take tests in balls and strikes and out and safe according to what the pitches and plays actually are according to an electronic device that gets it right every time. Only the umps that score the best get to make it to the majors. I don't want the human element removed from the game. I still want to see arguments and people get ejected. That's part of the fun.
