What’s so disheartening are the comments and the people in the video that believed the guys actions were not abusive. Someone does not have to physically hit you for abuse to be present. The moment he started calling her out her name was when the team should’ve stepped in to stop the abuse. When he started backing her into the corner and restricting her access to leave that was considered kidnapping. The moment he took her property and refused to return it that was theft. What she engaged in is called reactive abuse or self defense. That’s when someone finally reacts to being abused. If you all are going to be working with couples you need to familiarize yourself with the the stages of abuse because you all could be sued for the position you put her in and not protecting her once she was getting abused by him.

A little? You need psych classes. The moment he started calling her out her name was when the team should’ve stepped in to stop the abuse. When he started backing her into the corner and restricting her access to leave that was considered kidnapping. The moment he took her property and refused to return it that was theft. What she engaged in is called reactive abuse. That’s when someone finally reacts to being abused. If you all are going to be working with couples you need to familiarize yourself with the the stages of abuse because you could be sued for the position like this. Being ignorant is not gonna protect you.
