removing those water shoots is not only much more attractive, but makes the tree stronger and healthier too! I wish the YT mowing people would also undercut the hedges and shrubs too, clean them up at the bottom, near the ground, as well...

I live in Central Coast California, & the many cotoneasters the birds 'gifted' me many years ago, are now monsters, & sport more berries for the migrating cedar waxwings that come feast, & make a mess (meaning more seedlings that I now toss out.)

Watching this video from Japan. In Japan, house lots are smaller than there. And they are filling it with plants, parking lots, etc. If you were to see a Japanese house, you would be surprised at how small it is and you would finish the work right away.
