I heard you only need to shift back under hard braking, putting your weight over the rear to help keep the wheel down and increase friction through the tyre.
@seashackf16 ай бұрын
It was a good move for Able to go to a R6 from a R1. It looks like the R1 was too much bike for his ability. He didn’t learn good technique because you can be lazy on 1k bikes and let the power make up for it. The R6 is revealing his deficiencies and will ultimately force him to get better in those areas.

On the off chance you see this, I'm trying to get a bike that I won't outgrow quickly. I am reasonably well behaved on the road. My buddy's say a 600 is a shit bike to start on, but every bike is as safe as the rider makes it. Would an f4i or a cbr650r be a decent bike? I know you're not a big honda guy but I could in theory pick up an f4i for about 2 grand less than a low mileage 650r, and the 650r is 20 years newer. I've mostly got dirt experience but I've recently started riding my dad's klr650 (it's kind of boring) I don't need a fireblade but I can't see myself enjoying an R3 for long I'd like a bike I can stunt eventually. I really like the 636, but I like that I can do a full fairing swap on the Hondas for when I do eventually drop it. I need a bike that I can daily. I've had to sell my car and truck, so a bike will be my primary transportation.
@Outlaw72077 ай бұрын
It honestly depends on what 600 you're looking at, a 600 twin cylinder and a 600 I4 are two completely different animals. Example, the Ninja zx6r(600cc I4) makes 115hp where as the Ninja 650S (650cc Parallel twin) only makes 68hp.

Not a fan of when people cross the yellow line to straighten out the corner. Safety issues aside, why go to the twisties if you’re just going to straighten them out? Hard cornering is the best part.

@@adobomoto owned a rs660 for awhile had constant oil leak. Eventually started having issues with the brakes. Traded it in for a Zx6R and haven’t looked back. The dealer scarcity in the Midwest makes it’s such a pain to have any serious issues fixed (recall wise)

I wanna learn everything I can about bikes like I've loved them since i was kid my dad rode one for 11 years but people that have a better understanding of bikes always say 1000cc are just stupid or unneeded and idk why. Like if you learn how to really ride a 1000cc on tracks and stuff are they still that bad. My dream is to own a 1000cc or something close someday like a Panigale V2, Yamaha R1 or Honda CBR-1K-RR R Firebrid. Sorry if i sound dumb im turning 18 in a few months so that might be why, lol. But im genially curious.

Agree. The R6 has revealed true riding ability that the power of the R1 can’t mask anymore. Some people who move to bigger bikes too quickly never learn good technique. They can be lazy and just get on the throttle when the road straights.

That Braden guy should reconsider this hobby. I have a friend who rides the same, his pace is way below the average so when he tries to ride with the same level as us, 95% of the time there is some kind of mishap. When he rides on his own pace, he never had an accident but it takes him twice the time to complete the ride.
