Dan definitely thinks of himself as a metal singer, but as you said, he is able to do any genre. Dan is very skilled and his voice is fantastic. Dan is always experimenting and trying new things. Dan always does everything in his videos - all the background vocals, music,. filming. mixing. etc. Dan can play the guitar, keyboard and harmonica (that I know of). Whenever Dan has anyone help him with anything, he spells it out in the credits.

Thanks so much for doing this two-parter! I had never heard this solo version, so this was a treat. Yes, he already sounded pretty good, but wait until you hear the Fearless version. 😊 This does really showcase his creativity and dedication. Yes, all the vocals are always his, unless someone else is specifically credited. Great commentary! Top tier indeed. From what I’ve heard, he plays piano, guitar, bass, and harmonica (and 😊maybe drums a little?) but he’s said he doesn’t play most well enough to play in public. I believe he has laid down tracks on them from time to time, but his focus and extensive training is in voice (both classical and “modern”). But he knows how he wants the whole musical product to sound and he knows how to achieve that. I can’t wait for Part 2!

@@setonhillstudios It's the "Hallelujah Chorus" by Handel (from "The Messiah") where Dan is the one-man choir...he sings all eight parts, and each part contains three singers (all "Little Dans, as we usually call them). Since he generally records (at least) four tracks for each part, that's 96 times that he sang the Chorus. It's really fun to watch for all of the HUMOR he put into the making of it, as well. It really is FABULOUS!

Hey there! Thank you very much. I was so excited to see this pop up, and I can hardly wait to watch the second (later) one, as well. This wasn't the first video Dan produced...just the first one he did ENTIRELY by himself. He really enjoys learning how to do different things, on his own. He even learned how to rebuild computers, just so he could do more of his retro-gaming. I spent 20 years rebuilding computers, myself, for some of the same reasons, so I entirely understand that impetus. For a while, I couldn't do it, due to rheumatoid arthritis, but now that I can MOVE again, I'm kind of itching to build myself a new one. The one I have is OK, but it's about the noisiest (refurbed--not by me) computer I've ever owned, and sometimes it drives me nuts! Yes...all the vocals are him (he mentioned in the Description that the MIDI mix did NOT include his vocals). There are a couple of things I'm just itching to point out about this one, but I won't, because I want to see how the second reaction goes first. 😀 Dan does play guitar somewhat, but he says he's not good enough to record. He also plays keys, but there again, generally he prefers MIDI. The instrument he has been playing the longest, is harmonica, due to his father giving all of his older ones to his boys, who both play (multiple types). His brother Davi plays bass guitar, and on his own channel, he uses a keyboard to explain music theory, and to play little bits and pieces of the game OSTs he's listening to (or writing). Their friend Gabriel plays just about any other kind of guitar, and along with their other friend Giovanni (on drums that sound similar to these...wait until the other reaction...grin), and Dan on vocals, PLUS the really fun part coming up in the second one...yeah...you are in for a REAL treat. Both Davi and Gabriel sing in all of their FEARLESS stuff, along with Dan, who does most of the original lyric writing. He and Davi work through the arranging for the band, generally, but Gabriel does part of that, as well. They're ALL very talented and dedicated. ITALIAN...they first formed as Thundercross, in 1993. However, there's a quite unusual set of statistics for Rhapsody of Fire, and for Rhapsody. WIKIPEDIA has it pretty well lined out, but it still gets confusing, but you might want to take a look at that, before you do the second reaction. Regarding the late 80s...you and Dan must be pretty nearly the same age. His birthdate was 10/13/89. In THIS video (posted 13 days after his birthday), he was barely 27 years old (and looked much younger--at least I think so). The second one was posted on 09/16/22, so he was a little less than a month away from turning 33. He's just 34-1/2 right now. Thank you TONS for THIS reaction! I am REALLY excited for the next one, and I see that it's already up, so...BYE FOR NOW! 😀

Dan seems like he’s surrounded by incredible musicians that have a similar passion, which is always a motivator and awesome to have! I didn’t know he was into gaming! Rhapsody of Fire is an Italian synphonic/power metal group ... like Nightwish. The genre uses elements of orchestra and often operatic vocals. Dan's band, Fearless, is also power/ synphonic metal. 😊 (I'm learning through my Dan experience!) 😅

There are two more full songs of Rhapsody that Dan did, Emerald Sword and Son of Pain. Both highly recommended, especially Son of Pain. There's quite a few reactions to that one already. P.s.
