Enjoyed the reaction! They also performanced this for the first time together on July 31st during Hobipalooza (Lollapalooza) hosted in Chicago. Y'all gotta check it out, the energy with Armys and Becky was crazy! But Jhope has performed it once before with the other members last year during the Sowoozoo concert, its what we call an OT7 performance meaning all 7 members participated. I'm sure some people have already said this but I will go ahead and add this: The whole Lollapalooza performance is amazing and features his 'Jack in the Box' album and some songs off of his mixtape 'Hope World' from start to finish. It's a little over an hour long but worth it! Side note: he wore twists in his hair, not braids lol

J Hope said this was the first song that he learned a dance for. Across the world around the same time Becky G. was actually doing the same thing. This the first dance she learned as well, that how they first connected. Hobi has mad respect for those who came before him and influenced him. So not only did he give credit to DJ Webstar and Young B when he did the song, but he did it again at Lalapoolza. Along with the WuTang Clan,whom he sampled for one of his songs on his new album. He adores dancing. I guess u can say it's in his "DNA," (ARMY will get it.) He loves to upload him practicing and he calls it "Hope on the Street." And even though he hasn't uploaded in about 6 months because he has been so busy, old ones are still up. He was even at the end of Drake's video for "Kiki." It is fast but he is there. And as a matter of fact his video for the "Kiki challenge" is still the most viewed from anyone who did it. Which is one of the reason why Drake used it. Check out "Hope on the Street," he shows what he can do naturally...he is amazing to watch....and you should check out his new album "Jack In The Box." So worth it....he also has a mixtape from a couple of years ago called "Hopeworld." That has some pretty amazing songs on that one too...John Cena said that he fell for BTS when he heard J Hope's Mixtape and the song "Hangsang."

Those styles are similar to singles and that would have been cultural appropriation. He was 🤏🏾 this close to wearing braids just for a MV aesthetic. Which is very problematic. Black culture shouldn't be something that non-black people can put on and take off whenever they please. Especially when it comes to replicating our hair since we can't just take it off.
