Daniela Vásquez I think she was still figuring it out too I look at it in three stages for Lydia we know pretty much from that first kiss to their last she’s falling in love with styles but there’s steps to it like she surprised not only how much she liked the first kiss but what she felt afterwards which was feelings that’s when it started the feelings and then from then to around the last half of season five it was just that feelings developing her getting jealous of malia her admiring him from a distance but without doing anything and then we get step to which is more at the end of season 5 when stiles saves her which is for me when she starts to love him and realises it also the look she gives him when he’s taking her off that chair that’s love without a doubt and then when their in the hallway at the end of the season and then step three which is seasons 6 where through everything including him being wiped from her memory and existence her heart tells her something or someone is missing one one she needs and like she says someone she loves she goes through hell to get him back and when her memories finally resurface that’s when she realises she doesn’t just love him but she’s in love with him and has been falling for him every since the first kiss it’s great then they reunite she confirms her love they kiss and then we get to see her breathless and looking at him the exact way that Allison said she had looked at Scott 🤷🏼‍♂️ stiles always did love her even when he was with malia it’s not wrong it’s human and he was in love with Lydia for years and years on Lydia’s side she had to get to know him as a friend kiss him and not only see but feel him in a different light and then from then onwards it was feelings more feelings love and then when she added it all up everything they’d been through how her been the only person to ever truly know her to make her feel confident in her self and who she was to make her feel beautiful and safe even in a world full of werewolf’s and Japanese evil spirits he was smart enough to keep up and compassionate enough to understand her and selfless enough to put her life before his without thought every time it happened when she realised she was in love with him was when she realised how perfect he was for her and how much she needed him EPICCCCC like DELENA epic

Even when he was with Malia, he still loved Lydia (not saying his feelings for Malia were not true) cause his feelings didn't leave all of a sudden, he just prioritized their friendship and all the supernatural problems. I'm so glad they ended up together, and that Mals is happy and has no problem with that. Everything was respectful and healthy. Stydia is realistic and extremely cute.

What I love the most about Stydia is that before dating, Stiles and Lydia took the Time to learn to know each other, they took their time to fall in love with each other, they had devlopment, it was a slow burn, when with Stalia... Well, they just immediatly jumped on each other without really knowing each other, they never really took the time to... You know, connect. And if they tried they would've understood very easily that they had nothing to do together and that their... "story" wasn't going to last. That's why we couldn't expect them to work. It's the opposite with Stydia, their endgame was always so obvious, anyone who watched the show and only saw the facts and not their own head canon was able to tell that Stydia was going to be endgame.

Sometimes I just think about how much some stalia shippers must hate Lydia if they wanted Stiles to be with Malia at the end. Like, Lydia went through HELL to find Stiles, to remember him, she missed him so much, it made her so miserable and everybody just made her think she was crazy. I don't blame Scott because he is an alpha and he HAD to stay focused on the Ghost riders, and he really tried to support Lydia as much as he could, and it's normal if the sherif didn't remember Stiles like Lydia bcs the ghost riders had "given" him his wife back to make him think he wasn't missing anything... But Malia ? The only thing she missed was being able to control her transformation, she didn't support Lydia, she didn't try to help her or the person she knew was missing. You must really hate Lydia if you wanted Stiles to end up with Malia after everything we saw.

Honestly, I'm a HUGE stalia shipper. I don't even ship Stydia. But I can't deny the facts. Stiles always cared for Lydia. Malia and Stiles liked each other a lot and at some point I think they even loved each other. But with Stiles and Lydia, there was undying concern. One he never showed for anyone else. He was In love with Lydia. But tbh the relationship was really one-sided. Lydia did not love Stiles the way he loved her. He gave all of his love to her but she didn't. That's what made me nit like them. Though, I too think that Stiles and Malia was rushed. I mean they only knew each other for one day and then it happened.
