Here's what I think happened here with the rating is that during matchmaking for his first time ever in the game, our friend Bulya happened to have multiple high level players leave the game in a row during placement matches. That got him to that ranking of 4100. He then promptly lost and lost and lost his way to where he belongs, probably silver, where this game came from. But when submitting the form, they chose from their profile what the game says was their highest rating.

I believe it! When I started playing again recently, I practiced a single crappy build against AI, and lucked my way into 11 straight wins when I joined the ladder. A lot of Zerg players will instantly leave ZvZ, so you only need to get lucky against protoss and terran. I was in diamond by the time I started getting legit games, and promptly fell back to silver where I belonged.

Bulya actually used to be master, but whenever he plays against protoss he has a mental blockade and plays like a plat player. Against terran he has a very high winrate and still beats master leaguers.

doesn't work likee that. your max rating if you win all placement matches will be plat, and your last opponent will be diamond lvl. then you will have a few rounds on plat and then you get diamond to advance. thats how it was for me.

@@MrBulya i believe you. anything under GM can easily look like 2k or 5k mmr; the apm-stress design creates really sht gameplay. also why i lost all interest in playing as i dont think apm-spam is interesting, just stressfull and creates stupid/bad feeeling gameplay imho, and its impossible to use anything resemble strategy or tactics at 3+ bases below 6k mmr. and even at 7k, so serral and top 3-5 players in the world, mmr we see basic mistakes that would equal to a Pro-cs player throwing a grenade so it bounched back into his own team (which never ever happens; bc its not a trash design for what its doing).

Protoss advantage: They can spend their gas. Protoss disdvantage: Everything protoss costs so much gas. How on earth is having expensive units an advantage? This sounds to me like a Zerg complaining that his queens don't cost gas. Maybe if zerglings cost gas he would've been content that he has spent his gas as well! Also really funny how this Zerg is completely incapable of dealing with like a single prism the whole game.

It's a skin for the Zerg race that makes everything the zerg has have Mechanical like looks. blood is replaced with oil in units, blood of structures is replaced with fire. However, this is only an aesthetic change and zerg buildings don't burn down. They stop burning when they reach key HP percentages by regenerating.

That one was hilarious, seeing fully upgraded + Chitinous ultras tank an entire battalion of marines like it was the HOTS cinematic opener. That Terran was so used to being able to just a-move marines to victory that he was completely unprepared when someone was smart enough to bring out the hardcounter.

The big difference is that in the one you're referring to, the Terran didn't put the solution in the complaint form. In this one, the guy literally writes in two possibilities for a solution - vipers and infestors - then continues to build lings (and ultras), dumping resources into buffing bad units he shouldn't be making in the first place (chitinous armor)

the thing is under 5.5k mmr you are kinda winging it as a Z, because you need the units ready when the attack comes and both P and T especially, can come at 30seconds notice with a massive army. you also can't attack into them, before t3, bc for some godawfull reason the reaper stole ALL the cliff-jumping that was supposed to be a zergling treat thing. and all the regen etc. whatever. so here is the thing; you got few choices, you got lings which is trash against everything at 15-20+ supply; you got roaches which are expensive for what they do; bc they require too much supply and literally everything crush them or lolololz around them killing an entire drone line before even pro players respond to 6 adepts. and honestly that's it for your unit choices; you can go queens but again heavy on supply, hard to micro effectively and dies easily to anything be it anti light or anti armour or just 3 reapers harassing. so you need T2, but here is gets kinda ridiculess bc the cost/efficiency is just soooo trash in Z t2 under 6k mmr; because serral has literally gottan Everything nerfed to crap. like swarmhost got nerfed to sht, so not an option; muta's are literally countered by a SINGLE entity from both T and P (thor, archon) both EASILY produced whenyou get T2, even just 1-2 turrets or photons shutdown 6-10 muta's without much or any support. you got corruptors which are just throw away units to clear some mass air and NEVER effective in cost and basically useless against 90% off the army that pushes and very expensive; bc no scourge?. you got Hydras, but hydras are again like everything we talked about till now countered by EVERYTHING and is very VERY expensive for their efficiency, even massed they get screwed hard by T1 units off all kinds. you got infestors which are hella expensive for something that can do nothing without energy and which ONLY purpose at t2 is a crrappy slow for so little time that not even SERRAL the GOD OFF ZERG can get anything done when he DOUBLE fungal 6+ ghost in a row with his entire army ready to pounch. so the idea off using them at under 6k mmr is just laugheble. and that's T2... so no good choices at all. so you are stuck producing banelings in masses which are NEVER cost efficient, i will send zealots into banelings all day happily as you lose 100minerals for like 100min+tons off gas... takes like 3 banes to kill a zealot, so even when hitting 3+ off them its a bad trade and you know archon is going to come for all that gas wasted on banes and they take whaat? 36 banes for 1 archon or something ridiculess. but it is your ONLY choice. then we go to T3 which is ALL 6k mmr to have any effect, vipers need insane micro to use with the army, even serral God off zerg fly's them to their death due to miscontrol; so htf is anyone below 6k supposed to control them. ultra's are literally killed by everything at t3 upgrades and MELT in literal seconds to t3 armies; broodlords are just a big joke, again a throw away unit to try and by time. lurkers are not only hard to control and move but you can literally A-move most presplit ground armies into their sieged up position and win; which we see done all the time; imagine if you A-moved your ground army into 6-10 siege tanks or disruptor balls or anything else at that gamepoint... yer. so you are again stuck with banes and mindcontrol infestors and viper pulls to do EVERYTHING which again, serral god off zerg, constantly just move command those units into their death, bc the apmhell to controll it is so stupidly high... sooooo yeeer.... at the current balance Z need to outplay to win, get a large lead and hope P makes a mistake and that T get sudden diariar and need to leave the keyboard for 3 minutes minimum (or 5+ghost just lolololz wins any game for T).... it's really stupid.... also nydus loading and unloading units so slowly, like a long line its just useless for anything other than cheesee, as even God off Zerg can't keep up with the apm needed to use them for reinforce, escaped, base support and repositioning... and that's the shtty stated off sc2 today. play Terran or be much better than your opponent ;D

That only happens if you're terrible at the game. And if you're bad enough at the game that you're losing queens to 3 reapers, then you aren't losing cause of balance. It's your positioning, your micro, your multitasking, your responses to what you scout, etc. If you really think its balance, then go play with protoss and terran, and surpass your current zerg mmr. At lower levels you kind of get away with whatever as long as you have good micro or macro or a nice cheese. Later it feels like you have to learn for a test in order to climb up the rankings (how to wall properly on all maps, what is an actual build order, scouting the opponent and actually knowing what he's doing and how to react etc etc.). Wish i had the time, it's still the best RTS or imo generally best game of all time

at that stage of the gme and impact, game timer 13:30 - you just make drones and lings, but not too many lings just a forward scout and contain, zerg is incredibly powerful at containing a weakened protoss because the lings are so cheap... for the cost of one zealot you can get 4 units, and if they have adrenal... a singel ling can lamost solo a zealot. so meh... his position is favoured, I think he should a move his ultras and get out lings and seek takign out probes, but meh... he has the aibltiy to bounce back so fast as zerg... or he can play safe, you go queens and drones and lings, always ling, super cheap unit expendable and devasting to buildings. meh.

I know I suck at the game but it is REALLY hard for me to believe that this zerg is entire 1k MMR above me, I was cringing way too much watching this. I don't think I have any delusions about my own skill, something is not right here.. :D I must be missing some really easy ways to rank up if a zerg with macro like that can get this high. I rather feel like the banshee is either too healthy or does too much damage. Having an easy early invisible tanky damage dealer, that eats stalkers for breakfast, feels a bit too strong. There is not much counterplay (anti air + detection) and its expensive (robo or forge/cannon or stargate for detection and multiple units to even kill a single banshee).

Burrowed infestors wouldn't have helped. The Protoss had an observer and would have quickly killed the infestors with the stalkers. Surely the Zerg could have played better but going neural isn't necessarily the answer here.

6:30 i find it funny the complain is the players inability to deal and not the game being shttily made :P also all those suggestions to deal with the cannons, or any kind off cheese, takes vastly more effort than doing the cannon "rush". not saying it wasn't a terrible defence; but these always underline how godawfull sc2's gameplay actually is :P "just use a worker to block the building placement"... how is that a solution for anything other than magic make believe world; how did such junk make it into the game. "can't built cannons on creep but they can be on creep if already built" what? how does that make sense. "surround your cannon with other buildings".... we are all seeing that this is a giant portal warping a building to where it is? either it would fkup the warpin to throw stuff into it or you could just move pass it; it's not like it blocks anything. "snipe pylon with queen"... can you imagine how far that queen would need to SLING it's spines to outrange a PLASMA/energy based weapon platform? that's like at least 500-700 meters, but more likely a few km in distance; again how was this a design choice? :P i got soo many complaints about how stupid it's designed; without even touching on how ridiculess it is that it is playing on FASTEST from what difficulty? (i started plat so don't know if its the same lower, but fastest at plat and diamond is just ridiculess; at 3 base+ it is impossible for players at that lvl to even spend their income reasonable; much less have apm leftover to micro manage an army which has near to zero AI inbuilt in it. and even less to micro manage an army you need to manually tell to use abilities :P but i always smile when i see how trash everyone is at sc2 bc off how utterly trash the entire design off sc2 is from bottom to top; basically something from 30 years ago that never got updated in anything, it is just laugheble that it got so much success on the mp scene ^^ the story was good untill it all turned into some pathetic lovestory off world saving stuff while constantly crying over not being together with some half cross you didn't care much for before your change; but apparently "lust concure all"... such trash story, especially the entire GOD and GODS last campaign, that was so bad it took me multiple try to stomic through the story and only played it once and never looked at it again with other than slight disgust ;)

9:03 you are forgetting there is a disruptor and again under 5.5k mmr there isnt apm to micro against them; so it can easily take out 6 ravegers while Z is doing some macro ;P again terrible design, disruptors, mines, etc. just horrid bad design at all mmr's seeing serral having an impossible time finishing off a T bc mines everywhere doing billion dmg for the lowest price is just a joke to watch :P

with this i am kind of agree,... at lower levels, some things are op. if you guys at grand master win so much with cannon rush, us, the noobs, with no perfect micro, we are sitting ducks :)

At lower levels people don't even get to "op units" because they die to any early pressure (lings for example). I bet that A-move early lings get more wins than gas sink archon A-moves at lower levels. Does that make them op? It's a flawed logic from the start. Every race has those "op units". And btw it's hard to call that a cannon rush. He almost built a cannon on creep.

if the people you were playing against were doing canon rushes properly, they would be in GM. However they are not executing them anywhere close to properly, which is why you are playing against them.. their canon rushes are just as bad as your responses.

@@caloreen1992 yes, but is not a linear comparison. at grandmaster level, they can do a lot of multitasking. they can do a proper scout without neglect mineral line and evaluate correct the situation and give a proper response. at my silvernoob level, if one of those components is weak, game is lost. usually there are more than 1 weak :)

If someone is in silver their canon rush is probably so late that a normal pool timing would probably let you defend with normal ling timing. Your claim is that you can't defend canon rush because you don't have perfect micro like a GM. But your opponent isn't doing a perfect canon rush. The rushes are probably so bad that you could do ravager response every time and come out way ahead. The protoss isn't putting things up at the right time, probably not sending a second probe, not putting buildings in the right spot for minimal surface area, bad probe micro, and they have no idea how to follow up a canon rush which is the actual strong part of canon rush.

I always knew that people pick protoss because they like to canon rush. Some of them eventually branch out into other things, but you have a selection for players that are low effort, seeking cheap wins like fortnight. They then have trouble against the top zergs and think the race is imbalanced. Nobody picks zerg unless they have high skill, or high self confidence in their willingness to practice. This is why the game is so slanted against the zerg, because you can't balance the game with the player skill being so imbalanced. The top 3 zergs, are the top 3 players.

So zergs and terrans don't have "cheap wins" strategies at all, right? I bet that's the reason why "highly skilled" zerg players hit a wall at platinum level that opponents start to build stopping ling rushes. The moment you start defining player skill based on their prefferences your argument loses any validity. Most of the time the ones bragging about their high skill are the ones without any to start with. Starcraft is a strategy game and you play this game to win. And if you want to win the tournament you must use all the tools avaiable to achieve that. And if you say that protos race is significantly easier/better/stronger than other races then you imply that those top 3 players are either idiots for not choosing the better race or they know that this is not the case and you are lying through your teeth. P.S. High skill ceiling is not an argument in balancing. If something is op it is op no matter how hard it is to execute.

@@Skorpyotnt High skill ceiling can be an argument, you may have misunderstood how the game actually is balanced across the entire pro scene. There's a point of negative returns where having the ability to micro more actually brings less reward because of the way the damage stats play out during a battle. So that's why people say there's more that can be done to rank up to the very top of the Premiere's with Terran & Zerg, they have a higher skill ceiling. Pro players can't just choose a race that has more potential if they don't feel comfortable playing the race. Balance is evidenced by Protoss being by far the best performing in GM & the Major pro leagues, but much weaker at the very top in the Premieres. Overall the pro scene has great balance albeit asymmetrical, and that balance can't be made symmetric without basically re-designing the game entirely.
