@@user12do that isn’t how an authenticator app works. They are device specific, not sim specific. In fact, if you factory reset your device and need to reinstall Google Authenticator, you will lose access to your codes. This is why I never recommend that trash app to anyone. They offer zero recourse if you lose access to the original state of the app.

Best way to secure your account is by having a 2fa for your email and never link your email to another email. Also, a bank pin... with the bank pin, even if the hacker hacks into your account they dont have access to the bank even if they logged you out in the 5 minute pin interval. Another thing to add is changing passwords every month or so. Stay safe scapers!

I dont like admitting this but i use to sell my accounts i phished, i would let people play them for 3 to 4 months, claim i was in school and did not know people were using my account. Provided i gave them details like original ip (this can be grabbed by looking at the users last logged in IP when the account is initially hacked, 90 percent of the time this IP was the created acc IP) you didnt even have to be using that IP. sell an account for 150, take it back 4 months later with a full bank, sell, rinse and repeat! 2 name changes later and acc is unidentifiable.

My account wasn't special but I got account recovery hacked. I even remember getting an email but thought that one was a phishing attempt lmao. It wasn't till I tried to play again years later that I came back and saw that my account went from like 80, to high 90s in every stat. But when I recovered it that time I guess they assumed most of it was botted and they rerolled everything back to 70s. It had one of the usernames not emails to login my oldest account.

I use a Authenticator on my Instagram account. Keep my account super safe but then tragty struck. I was robbed at gun point and the Authenticator was link to my phone number. Try getting back that previous phone number with the service provider and failed. That happen in August. Months ago still can't get back my ig account. All my important messages that i didn't screenshot are lost forever. Personally. I fear the same thing would happen to my rs account so instead I set up my rs account in such a way that its username, password, bank pin and recovery questions are all anonymous. My username in game is not my sign in username and I will never change it back to that.

@@dawn-blade I'm glad you asked! Social engineering is the name of the so called "hacking technique" used here. It is based on tricking either the user into handing over their info, to click/go to a link that will compromise them, to download something that will allow shady actors to gain entry, or anything of the sort. OR! The company providing the service being tricked by a shady actor pretending to "Just have lost access to their account" into handing the keys to the kingdom over. This is called Social engineering, and its a very old "hacking" trick. It is also very low tech in its implementation, and thus akin to a shady hustler on the street managing to con you into buying something only for it to turn out to be stolen goods, which lands you in hot water with the Police. This is thus where the name comes from. It relies solely to succeed on the target being gullible enough to fall for it. Hence why I put all the hacking words prior in quotation marks, as it isn't very technical by its very nature. It's usually from my observations what is really going on when people in MMORPGs get hacked - That, or recycling the same password all over the place, and when one service gets compromised the bad guys can easily gain entry. Hopefully my answer to your question proved useful.
