Hi Roland, this is Dave from the mock test video. It was a pleasure to do this mock test with you, and although I failed this mock test, I'm glad I passed my real driving test (three weeks after this mock test). On my real driving test routes, there were no 40mph+ dual carriageways, nor width restrictions (not that I wouldn't be able to handle them, but come on). To be fair, I thought I had failed my real driving test, as a few of the faults I made could have easily turned into a serious.

that's why I never trust indicators in the roundabout. A lot of drivers flick the wrong signal

Hi Roland. Loving your videos. I’m a PDI on my pink license and wondered what rear view you use and what blind spot mirrors you use. I’ve bought a couple but they’ve only lasted a few months.
@GetWheelDriving3 ай бұрын
Hi! Rear view I bought quite a while ago from Amazon… I could do a vid a what I would recommend. Blind spot mirrors are the small round ones. I prefer the ones you can’t adjust as they’re useful for both driver and instructor on sessions.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have the round ones but they're not adjustable. I will change them. A video would be great but I'm sure you have more important things to do.

Rol any chance you could give us information on your car? Looking to get something new for teaching, how do you find the focus?
@GetWheelDriving3 ай бұрын
That’s a good question! I used to love it and still do kinda but in recent years the mild hybrid has made teaching learners a bit more complex and some reliability issues… A great car at the price but I’m thinking of moving away from it.

@get wheel driving love the content and how you communicate with learner drivers. What Ford do you have btw? I love the interior! Is it a Focus?

With the van situation at the start of the test, isnt that a serious fault? As you had to verbally intervene?
@GetWheelDriving2 ай бұрын
On a real test he might have been offered a bit of advise… not as much as I gave, and yes it’s possible for that to have gone as a serious… I’d like to think that an examiner would be lenient in this situation as it’s not a normal problem to deal with as a novice driver. It’s a good learning point of what to consider if something like that was to occur.
