It can be very distressing with something in your eye and you rub it and it makes it worse, I remember once when I had a scratch on my eye and it felt like some dirt was in my eye, it was just so irritating eventually I got some eye drops that made my eye numb so I couldn’t feel it, then being able to sleep it away.
