I went to an estate sale last Saturday and bought a box of old vases at the time I really didn't look at them closely since they were all wrapped and taped very well once I got home I looked at them and found out they were all Rookwood pottery from 1920-1932 I paid 4.00 for the entire box

@thehomeschoolingpicker Kayla those fabric ornaments were a kit to sew yourself. My sister and I had a set of the Wizard of Oz when we were kids in the 70's. I still have the Tin Man, not sure what happened to the rest. Hopefully my sister has them. They were a lot of work sewing, stuffing, sewing on the beads & sequins. All hand sewn, no machine sewing

LOL Sooo funny… ! Your personality is genuine. You have a “ great eye” on what to pick up for resell and know your stuff… fantastic ! ( you know I’m just kidding about if reselling doesn’t pan out, right?) Thanks for being so true to yourself and others, love your videos.

I am thrilled that I found this channel! I feel your videos show honest scenarios. I have watched another channel for a few years now and I feel their thrifting/picking scenarios have become staged. You show the big money maker scores along with the “typical” score, also your estimated values are more realistic. Thanks! I’m looking forward to binging past videos!

I bought an incense box for a friend just like the one that you found about five years ago at Walmart for $7. The one that I bought didn't have the brass but other than that it's identical. The good thing about this particular incense burner is that it burns powder, cones or stick incense. There are holes in each end to put the sticks through to hold the stick incense and after lighting the incense you close the lid and the smoke comes out through the holes in the lid. It's a really cool and versatile incense burner.

Hi All. I live in Canada and love to check out local Goodwill Shops. I just wanted to suggest a cool cheap little helper in reading the fine print on unfamiliar items. Michaels craft stores sell inexpensive magnifying tools in the bead area called a Jewellers LOOP like the thingy jewellers use to look at fine gems like diamond rings. I can’t shop without mine. Tiny enough to fit any pocket or put on lanyard. Bet you’d find it so useful. Truly happy to have come across your platforms. Sending ❤️ From Ontario Canada. Happy picking/reselling. PS you and your man are an adorable couple.

Regarding those "junky" plastic ornaments? If you can get them with the filigree or even better, pointed shapes that look a little like jacks, they can go for good money. They're all (even the bells you have) made for those 60's aluminum trees, which is why most of them have some kind of metallic finish. Look up plastic "sputnik" ornaments to get an idea of what they can sell for and maybe lot out the more common ones.

I've bought some great items at Auctions. I got 3 bundles wrapped in felt for $7. It was a full set of sterling silver cutlery service of 12 with all the serving pieces. One fork is valued at $105. I also bought a random box for $10. A guy offered me $10 for a tube in the box. I said that I haven't even looked at it yet. He then offered me $20. I said I'd like to look first. He offered me $50. Ok, he knows something about this tube. Then he offered me $100. I said no. He offered $200. I said absolutely not. Turns out it was 3 canvas prints in the tube. Two were valued at $4,000 each and one valued at $10. They are hanging in my house now.
