I had an experience with a foreign object being in my knee for many years. When I was 5, I fell on some glass in the alley behind my house. We lived in the inner city and at that time all of us kids played in the alleys. A mess of any kind, especially glass, not being cleaned immediately was rare back then. I knew something was in there but my great grandmother couldn’t find anything. It didn’t hurt so she cleaned it up, put a bandaid on and sent me on my way. Fast forward 10 years, I go to sit down one afternoon , when I bent my knee a small spot split open. Blood started running down my leg. It really hurt. I look and see a piece of amber glass poking out slightly. I immediately knew what it was and how it got there. I had to use tweezers to pull it all the way out. It was actually pretty big, about the size of a popcorn kernel. It was weird because I had zero pain for all those years it was in there. My great grandmother had passed a few years before but I held that glass up and said “See Nonny, I told you something was in there.” Lol

Same thing happened to me. Fell at my BBF house, cut my hand at the base of my left 👍- neighbor who was a RN dressed it and it gradually healed. Fast forward 1 calender year- I was washing dishes-:started itching so I started scratching it. What should pop out but a small piece of brown beer bottle! Like the other person it really hadn't pained me THAT MUCH, but made sense. Daddy BBF was an alcohol abuser with broken bottle prices all over. Maybe I'm lucky I hadn't cut a knee or something else at her house. 🤔

This video takes me back almost 50 years when I was approximately 8 years old the cleared area in our backyard for an above ground pool was all mud from a nice rain. My parents allowed my sister and I to go squishing barefoot. I was having a good time in the mud until I felt a sharp pain on the bottom of my foot; just at the metatarsal before the arch. When I pulled my foot out of the mud all you could see was blood. My parents tried to see what caused the bleeding but couldn't find anything. It hurt up inside to put pressure in that area so I was off to the ER. We were there for hours, x-rays and all. They found nothing. The next day I still couldn't put pressure on my foot so my dad decided to take another look. He found a rose bush thorn.

I just turned 40 and I have a high pain tolerance and seldom go to the doctor. Well two years ago I needed a X-ray after slipping off the roof. Doc was like “what is that in your foot?” It was a sewing needle from when I was 3 and crawling around in moms sewing room. We traced it back to that cause she took me to the doctor because my foot swelled up and they chalked it up to a sting of some kind……. Nope lol well I played bball all the way up to professionally overseas and never felt it or had a issue past the original swelling that went down in a couple days. When they pulled it out it had a cyst like sack around it and it looked like a deflated balloon. 🤷♂️

I stood on something as I walked into my lounge when I was about 15 went to my local cottage hospital after school a couple of days later they did a small incision where this thing went in and saw nothing. I kept on insisting that there was something there so my mum took me to our gp who didn't' believe me as I had been examined by the hospital already, it was strange because depending on the shoes I wore I either limped or didn;t so some people believed me others not. After going back to the gp for the 4th time she said I'm going to prove to you there is nothing there and that you are wanting my time you are going for a xray. Had my xray went back to my gp she said what can I do for you now I said apologise she said why and I produced a specimen pot with half a sewing needle in it that the major hospital had taken out after they had seen it on the xray.

Cinderella story? The coolest thing that ever happened to the lower half of my body is when I pushed a 9 pound human being out of my vajayjay. It hurt a little bit but was pretty amazing 🤣 He's now a 6'6" 38 year old architect.
