@Developer software The country was controlled by rich oligarchs, corruption was rampant, Russia went through 2 wars which were some of the most violent in it's history, the post Soviets were plunged into crisis and searched for identity, and inflation was skyrocketing because the country became very capitalist very quickly.
@commentcontrol71875 жыл бұрын
@Developer software the country is still corrupt and controlled by oligarchs but it is not as bad as the 90s. Russians have been finding their own identity in years and have been identifying with their Soviet past once again.

@Developer software in my opinion russians identify as russian before slavic, though they typically believe in the idea that "slavs are brothers".
@commentcontrol71875 жыл бұрын
@Developer software what I mean is that Russians prefer to be known as Russians. there is a common belief that all slavs have a brotherly bond and that slavs should celebrate that bond, many Russians believe in this but some countries do not, like Ukraine, which does not get along with its slavic "brothers". Lithuania and such are Baltic and are not considered slavic but are post Soviet states
