Floor learned to support her upper body with her arms as not to hurt her neck. She is never dizzy. She even did it whilst she was pregnant last year! Marko, the bassist, said he liked to sing with Floor because he could belt as loud as her.

Yes, she is doing the move with her spine/back as well as her head, so the strain between her neck and spine is minimized. Think of it like spinning just your wrist vs spinning your hand and arm from the elbow

This concert is from 2013, and she was still a substitute teacher (sorry, I mean singer). She was replacing the 2nd Nightwish singer who had left the band during the tour. Soon after the end of the tour, Floor was made permanent. Nightwish is currently working on a new album, it will be the 3rd with Floor. She also just released her solo career, which is very different than Nightwish. Now I feel I should mention that she just beat breast cancer and had a baby (her 2nd daughter with Sabaton's drummer Hannes). She is a beast! From the same concert, take a look at "I Want My Tears Back" where you'll meet their sixth member, Troy Donockley. Troy is their multi-instrumentalist and the joke is, it's easier to list the instruments he doesn't play. He also sings as well, so in some songs we're hearing three part harmonies. In this song, Emppu pranks Floor. Though the editor cut out the actual prank (the dummy), you'll see Emppu and Troy scheming, then Floor's reaction afterward. The height difference between Floor and Emppu is hilarious. On meeting Floor he said, "She's two of me!"

I've seen a fancam of the Buenos Aires performance and at one point Floor chases Emppu across the stage. They were having a ton of fun, but the video editor cut that all out. At least in the Wacken video, some of that remains.

There's another video where Floor chases Emppu up onto Troy's riser at the Hartwell Arena in Helsinki, 2015 or 2016 during the same song. She'll give Emppu this little 'let's dance' shimmy and Emppu runs away. The two of them have a great on-stage relationship.

Yes... Marko, the bassist really can sing and sing really well. Marko, back in 1982 created his own metal band with his brother... in 1984 they renamed their band Tarot. In this band Marko is the lead singer. He continued playing with this band even while he was with Nightwish here. There are a few Nightwish songs where Marko takes the lead and MANY of us recommend you take a listen to those as well.... but there are about 500 nightwish songs you need to listen to 😁

He can sound evil but also has a voice like a male angel (especially in their more folky songs like "the Islander"in Tampere (Finland) where he sings almost solo, also in the tribute "high hopes"of Pink Floyd. Floor and Marko sound awesome together. We Dutchies are the tallest people worldwide, so her hight is not extremely large in Holland, just above average I think. Yes - because she is so OLD. She is super fit but in the last few years she has had surgery to remove her gall bladder, surgery and chemo for breast cancer and remained active throughout her pregnancy and delivered of her second baby girl. Anyone who doubts her resilience should search for the video of her erecting fence posts for her horse's padock with a sledge hammer - her biceps put many men to shame.

You should check out some of the songs from The Human:||:Nature album(unfortunately Marko's last album with them, he left the band in 2021) also check out their concerts in 2021-2023. Durning this time Floor was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, which she beat and is 100% healthy and had her secon child with her husband Hannes a little girl Named Lucy. If you really want a song that shows Marco's vocals try "The Islander" from their live show in Tampere, Finland and also "The Greatest Show on Earth" from the same concert.

Nightwisah is basically.. "Floor and the elves".. hahahaha, without her high heeled boots, she is still taller then the rest of the band :D they love in the band.. fun fact, Marco introduced her on the forst show as "Our Flying-Dutchwoman"... and when on tour, the guys steal in hotels and resorts signs and buckets of the sweepers/cleaners.. "Caution Wet Floor".. she is seen in the docu about how she got into Nightwish carrying her lugguage in on of these Wet floor buckets, a bootshaft hanging out and some dress aswell in that yellow bucket.

Ladies - you're incredable. If you really wonna hear Marco sing at his best you should listen to the unbelieveable tribut of Pink Floyds" "High Hope" during the Nightwish Tour "End of an area" in 2005 in Helsinki. I think many of the commys will recommand this song. I must say, I am an 63 year old metal-fan with a lot of experience on stage, but this tribute blows me away everytime when hearing.. Of course there are still more songs with Marco: "Kiss, while your lips are still red" and without a doubt the simply best "Islander". Stay healthy and best wishes from a fan based in germany.

Floor still says this is the "best" or greatest show they ever played. Thats not saying that they didnt have amazing hows somewhere or taking something from other shows they played. It was jsut so unique she said becasue she was pretty new in the band and it was at one of the biggets metal festivals in the world and everything worked out and they all were so freaing happy. It was the emotion after they knew what they did I believe. The whole concert is on youtube and you can see them tearing up and hugging and just knowing that they jsut delivered :D Its really heartwarming. I recommend to watch it. Not as a reaction but just to get a feeling for the whole concert and show and its so heartwarming. PS: If you wanne hear him sing react to Everdream rom this concert or even better their cover of Phantom of the Opera (but with their old singer Tarya) I dont thign he performed that one with floor.

The entire Wacken concert is phenomenally good. In addition to "Ever Dream", which has great vocals from Marko (the bearded bass player), you need to check out "Dark Chest of Wonders", the number that they opened the concert with. They had 82,000 (-1) people rocking out within seconds of the opening notes. Most of the crowd had bought their tickets many months earlier, and had therefore paid to hear a different singer, but Floor won them over instantly.

"Every Dream" from same concert features a nice example of Marko's wonderful voice and range. (He won the Finish version of "the Masked Singer". A great one to check out is also "The Islander" from live in Tampere 2015. Be sure to get the video that has his monologue at the beginning as well, (pretty funny). Also an older Nighwish concert, his lead vocals on a Tribute to Pink Floyd's song: "High Hopes". Stupendous, The Guy is great, just wish he was still wth Nightwish, very special talent!

Hey ladies! I've only got one thing to say: Best. Banshee. Wail. EVER. By the way, Wacken 2013 is considered by many, including me, to be the best concert ever recorded, any time, by any band. Edit: If you think this show is high-energy, you haven't seen anything yet! I highly recommend checking out Unleash the Archers, a Canadian power and speed metal band with a vocalist that is just as talented as Floor Jansen: Brittney Slays. I recommend starting with the song Abyss, the title track from the album Abyss, which won the Juno Award (Canadian Grammy) for 2020 Metal Album of the Year in Canada.

The smile on your faces says it all, Romanticide just flat R O C K S !. Aside from windmills, Floor almost uses her hair as a weapon the way she flails and whips it around - WHOA. Jukka on drums in this show is amazing, the guy works his behind off - his double kicks on his 2 bases are fun to watch. You're going to get alot of requests to do "Greatest Show on Earth" from Nightwish. It's over 20 minutes long about the formation of the universe. There are alot of lyrics that reference astronomical terms. Before you listen to GSOE, I suggest you print the lyrics then search the difinitions for the terms you're not familiar with. I came up with a page and a quarter - there's alot to digest in the lyrics if you want to fully understand the entire song when you hear the 1st time.. If you wanna hear Marko burn it down, watch "Ever Dream" from this Wacken show and then "High Hopes" from the End of An Era concert - there are no words to describe this one except maybe stunning. Pink Floyd did the original "High Hopes" , this Nightwish version is a tribute to Pink Floyd. Keep Rockin' in the Real World ladies. Really enjoy your reactions ! !

Hello again, you lovely ladies. Absolutely awesome reaction again. You three are nailing the Nightwish reactions. Yes, our 6'1" (barefoot) Valkyrie goddess, Floor, is nailing it. But also, Marko Hietala, is an amazing vocalist in addition to being a fantastic base and acoustic guitarist. I highly recommend that if you want to get a bit more of Marko on lead vocals, check out, "Kiss, While Your Lips Are Still Red" at the Wembley 2015 concert and "The Islander" at the Tampere 2015 concert. Also there is Marko on vocal lead with the Nightwish cover of Pink Floyd's, "High Hopes". Thank you all for your wonderful reactions to our beloved Nightwish.
