My mom came to help me after the birth of my first son. I picked her up at the airport before I had the baby, and she could not believe I was nine months pregnant. I gained plenty of weight, but it was my first baby and you just couldn’t tell. Every time I watch a video I can’t believe you’re as far along as you are in your pregnancy. You look fabulous!

Ok. Retired Maternity RN here and I have had 3 babies in 4 years. I gained 29 lbs with the first and 10 lbs each with number 2 and 3. The only reason I didn’t gain more with number 2 and 3 was I was so busy working and with a baby /toddlers. But you know what? At 9 months I ended up exactly the same weight with each pregnancy. I had a friend that gained 90 lbs but most I know gained 30-40 lbs. as long as you are eating fairly well and getting some exercise don’t sweat it. I found that by day 10 postpartum about 20 lbs dropped right off, the rest took a while but it wasn’t long before I was back to normal. Don’t restrict your food and be proud of your mighty body that is growing a whole new human. It’s incredible, it’s a miracle. Enjoy your new curves. You are looking fantastic ❤️❤️

He is wonderful! Stopping when you foot came out of the stirrup, yet again keeping you safe, he is very careful with you he knows you need to be careful now you have a baby on the way. He was being cheeky making you wait for a bit before he came to you. He is very intelligent and you have trained him well, showed him so much love, he knows he is such a lucky boy, that you found him and made his life so much better and I'm sure he has made your lives a whole lot better to.

You look GREAT! You definitely do NOT look as though you've gained too much. I gained a ridiculous 60+ lbs., and according to my doc had no fat layer to cut through when he did the C-section. Lost 40 of it with the 6 lb 15 oz baby, and another 15 in the first month after. You are beautiful and if you and your baby are healthy then you've GOT this! And Rudnik is amazing. Great job!

I am so glad (and grateful) that you're being so honest and true about your experience being pregnant as a horse woman as it's great modeling for women in general. You're absolutely right. Your body will accommodate your baby's needs and your own in it's own unique way that's taken thousands of generations to develop. So very true. And learning to give yourself grace during pregnancy, for whatever happens that’s out of your control (and there’s a LOT that’s out of your control!), is, as @kjmav10135 says, great practice for child raising. Because there will be a lot of that that will be out of your control, and a lot that will be in your control, but you will definitely screw some of that up. My kids are in their mid-thirties, and while they love me a lot, and say I’m a great mom, there’s a lot of things that I regret from my perspective now. But back when I was making those decisions, I was doing the best I knew how then, without the benefit of the hindsight I have now. So I try to be kind to myself, and also be kind to mothers I see out and about who are struggling with cranky or energetic children. The look on their faces when I approach with a smile and just say “take a deep breath. You’re doing a great job. You’ve got this” is priceless. So here’s yours: You’re doing a wonderful job already. You’ve got this. You’re growing a new human being! You’re creating a miracle! Be kind to yourself.” Lots of love to you and B and sweet and sassy Rudnik! ❤

Please stop beating yourself up. As a nurse of many decades, and mother of 2 sons, grandmother of 4, you look fantastic. Everyone progresses through their pregnancies differently. As long as you are healthy, you are fine. Remember,no matter what you do, you will gain those last 3 months. That’s when the baby does most of its growing too. @@rudniktheroan I can tell you from experience with my Roan who is Foundation bred and cowy the first time I tried cow sorting with him I was just there for the ride. It was totally instinctual for him. He had never seen a cow up till that point. We been competing for three years now. I had to learn to stay out of his way and trust him. ITS SO FUN and I think creates a better bond between us. I trail ride , camp with him and compete.

Even if you just leave for 5 minutes then come back it'll make him think. Learn how to be a couple because it's going to become so important in a few months. My first pregnancy I weighed 116 at 5ft5. For nine months I was "starving". and ate everything. I gained 50 lbs. When my baby was 3 mo old. I weighed 116. There are expected standards and there is every woman, every pregnancy is different. It's very clear that Rudnik is being super careful of you now. And remember, it's not you gaining weight, it's the baby and the amniotic fluid that your body is carrying. Most of that is going to come right out when the baby is being born, and in the few days afterwards. YOU are healthy and beautiful!!

I'm sure he can smell you are pregnant, he may or may not know there is a baby in there but it seems animals are very perceptive about these things. My mom gained so much weight during pregnancies and breastfeeding, but she started out slim and just returned to that once she stopped breasfeeding. It's the baby hormones that do it. She was eating things we liked not things she would normally eat herself. It's a very natural process, some months you are bound to gain far more as the baby is growing harder. Even if the baby is only a small part of the weightgain most of it is gained to protect the baby and prepare for breastfeeding.

Don't worry about weight gain while pregnant. Better to have a little extra padding to have some reserves in case you're feeling really under the weather and don't want to eat. Now, don't go eating whole bushels of fruit or anything. (My mom apparently did that while carrying me and the doctor gave her a Look.) Fruit's healthy and natural, but a tree's worth is excessive. ;)

Don't beat yourself up. If your own doctor says you're fine, you're fine. Weather, humidity, what you ate.... ALL of that also factors into pregnancy weight gain. I don't even think you LOOK 6 months pregnant; you're carrying well, and it's probably due to how physical you are. Keep up the good work and don't listen to anyone but your doctor in terms of weight gain or not gaining.

Something to keep in mind about your weight, not all the baby's are the same.. Some may be 6 pounds, some may be 7 pounds... Long as you keep with in the activity the doc says is good for you and you eat right, then I would not worry about it.... But then again I am a guy *shrugs* the other lady's would know more about it then me...

I just Love v your house & watching your videos but I have yet to see him come running to you, like he does your fiance, when your fiance goes with you to see Rudnik.
