You can see how happy he is he fixed the carb for you. I love seeing kindness in people. Give that man an award! Well done ❤

Another simple way to check if your float needle is working is to drain the fuel out . Hold your carb upside down and blow into the fuel line . You should not be able to blow air through if the needles are working properly. We use to do this with are dirt bike carbs all the time when we were kids .
@tommylitchfield34502 жыл бұрын
My guess is that you need to raise those needles up at least one clip position. They were in the full lean position with the stock airbox and stock exhaust. Jonesy needs more fuel for that extra air. At least you got to hear him run on your birthday :)

What a great surprise to get a early Thursday evening video,,, and how frustrating was that .....,,,that brought back memories of the excite same problem from the 70s with my CB 750 ,,but all will be wonderful in the end with Jonesy Bikers or not

What a great video, it was rewarding to see the level of complicity between you and Simon when trying to get jonesy's heart beating. You two have a real on screen platonic chemistry. If Phil and Holly get the sack over queuegate ITV could do a lot worse than think about the both of you as replacements. Also 22.08 has to be the finest Nookie Bear impression I've ever seen.

Your first build is inspiring and has motivated me to get off my butt and tackle the 83 BMW R100 I have had in pieces spread around my garage for the last 20 years. 🇨🇦

😃 That’s just perfect! Thank you for sharing. That is worth every single minute spend making those videos. As you know I often tempted just to do stuff off camera. Without thinking about filming..

Its all about the bonding and the journey!!! Nothing more rewarding and no better way to fall in love with your bike than nursing it back to life with your own hands 👏♥! Jonesy will love you back even more for it! Cant wait to see him on the road.

If I remember correctly, you installed the needles with the clips in the top groove (leanest position). Try starting with them in the middle position.

@tomboyabit2 жыл бұрын
I’m not. It’s Jonesy teasing anyone. Or you want one of those videos where it all happens smoothly in one 10 minutes episode? Then I’ll have to cut off all the party and fun of it and that will not be real. That will not be like I see it.

These carbs look like the same type as my CBX 1000 bike I once had. Such was my infrequent use of the beast, that when started up it would spill fuel profusely due to sticking float business. What a pain taking them off, apart and back on again.

Well what a change. Mixture didn't sound right and the carbs will need vacuum balancing so that the slides all open together. And lordy first time we've seen you in a dress . Kinda thought you were born wearing jeans😊😊 Best of luck with the next part.

Glad to see it was those pesky tubes, it was only going to be 1 of 3 things causing overflow issues, Sounds to me like the jets are too big, did you take note of the jet sizes that is in there? I think if you come down 2 sizes on the main jets it will probably sort him 👍

Lol, brilliant video, got me pmsl, watching that dude touch float heights, when the first thing to check is the float needle and the seat, to make sure its not blocked or has been worn. I wonder how he would fix my carb that leaks when it's on the sidestand but doesn't leak when I ride it 🤣🤣🤣
