lol If you read the afterwards in the books Bernarn Cornwell repeatedly makes sure the readers understand that he created numerous aspects of the story, chose where various battles would be despite us not really knowing, combining the actions and lives of several people into one. In his own words, a Uhtred as he wrote would be practically impossible to exist in the real world if only from the amount he would have had to have moved and continuously fought at the most pivotal places in the most opposite of lands.

George is in my opinion the best writer fantasy has seen (speaking purely about his style and thought process) but Bernard is an incredible writer that has some of the best developed characters i have ever read/seen. Tv Shows both have their faults but are an experience that stays with one for a long long time.
