He is the image of the invisible God The Shroud of Turin

From April 11 to May 23, 2010, more than two million pilgrims made their way to the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Turin, in the North of Italy. They came to contemplate one of the most mysterious objects of the western world: the Shroud of Turin.
This cloth, made of linen fibers, is the only one in the world on which one can observe the imprint of the body that it has wrapped: a man who died on a cross and, according to medical examination, who has undergone atrocious torture. It is the reflection of the Gospel in pictures: the Passion of Jesus Christ is revealed in the minutest of details!
In the course of this film, several questions are raised and the answers lead us to a real contemplation of this shroud which, up to now, remains a complete mystery:
1. What is the origin of the shroud?
2. How was the image formed?
3. Who is the man of the shroud?
4. How old is the shroud?
5. The shroud’s imprint on our lives.
A number of witnesses - including eminent research scientists - attempt to reply to these questions:
Barrie Schwortz, an American scientific photographer, was a member of S.T.U.R.P. (Shroud of Turin Research Project) in 1978. Jewish, he spent 32 years of his life in the study of the shroud! His in-depth research convinced him that this mysterious cloth, with amazing scientific properties, is well and truly the sheet which has wrapped the body of Jesus of Nazareth after his death on the cross. The examination of the shroud has turned his life upside down!
Thibault Heimburger, a doctor and French scientist, and Sébastien Cataldo, both co-authors of the book, “The Shroud of Turin, the latest findings”, help us to enter into the mystery of the shroud, which remains a scientific enigma, a “provocation to the intelligence” (according to John-Paul II in 1998). Indeed, this shroud does not cease to defy science and its assertions: how was the image formed on the cloth, how old is the shroud: this remains a complete mystery up to now!
However, there are many who, in their contemplation of this tortured body, recognize the love of the Son of God, Jesus, who died on the cross and rose from the dead, for each and every one of us. One of those is French-born Béatrice Guespereau, vice-president of the “Show your Face to us” Association. Today, she travels throughout different countries to spread the light that pours out of this shroud and comes into her life.

The physical and historical evidence of the shroud of Torino is weighted so much towards authenticity any conventional court of law would conclude that this shroud is indeed the image of a real body that was crucified at the time of Jesus, and that the markings on the cloth could only be that of Jesus himself. But what is more incredible is the continuing revelations that are revealed through science that reinforces this conclusion. It is undeniable that a miraculous piece of cloth has survived and bears witness to an historical figure of such importance and is presented to us in such miraculous condition. There is one thing that cannot be disputed, and that is that no such historical material ever in the history of antiquity produced many centuries ago can still baffle todays scientists in how it's image was produced. That in itself is a property that cannot be explained except through some miraculous intervention. As time rolls on, science instead of finding fault or fraud with this incredible object finds on the contrary further evidence to support it's authenticity. This is the reverse of what is usually the case with objects of questionable antiquity and authenticity. Science eventually catches up with fraudulent objects. But with the shroud of Torino, it supports it's authenticity as the decades roll on and science improves. This is highly unusual except in instances where the object in question is in fact a real authentic object.

Well. two points, relating to one observation. Where is the top of the head / skull impression? And, given that there is no impression of the top the head, and we can clearly see both back of the head skull and the forehead, would this impression not be of a man / subject that is paper thin? If indeed, the linen was draped over the body as suggested, there would be at least some sort of an impression of the top of the head, but. we do not see any, nor, if we were to to fold the linen back as it is claimed, there is not enough room between the front and back impressions, for a body... the gap between the front side impression and backside impression should be of greater distance, whether the top of the head made an impression not?

What we all have forgot, is that jesus although in human form, was more unique than us! His body was of a higher advanced, genealogy his every single cell was more divine, when jesus was condemned by his own people, and brutally, suffered more pain than any normal human who would of died!! I believe the Shroud of Turin was stolen from Constantinople when it was invaded and sacked by the Crusaders in 1204 AD. They were ostensibly on the Crusade to deliver the Holy Land but instead the Catholic crusaders attacked Constantinople, another Christian (Orthodox) city.

I was saying that the dismissal of the shroud is being from a later period is not true. The evidence is really overwhelming despite the challenges to the shroud that I’ve been offered from time to time. Even the fact that no one can reproduce the image with the same properties as the shroud should give skeptics pause. Cynicism comes naturally to me but there are times when one should be cynical about one’s cynicism.

You my friend are sadly short on research. More knowledge changes the perception. Definitely a burst of high energy radiation was captured on the Shroud. There is no better explanation to account for the image on the cloth.

Ray Rodgers, a known skeptic of the a shroud produced a scientifically peer reviewed paper showing that the area in which samples were taken was indeed a repair! Nearly all the evidence shows that the shroud is most likely the burial cloth of Jesus
