I am so grateful that my mom didn't make me go to girls Camp after my 4th year. I was having an extremely hard summer between Junior and Senior year... I went on a special trip with my mom up to Ephraim Utah instead.

Yes! Same! I only went to girls camp twice and my parents didn't make me go after that, even despite the pressure from church leaders. Glad for the times I stayed home.

I heard you interviewed on Mormon Book Reviews. I am going to subscribe to your pod cast. I don't know why we can't say some words when other podcasts say all kinds of outrageous stuff.

The thing that caused me to "deconstruct" the LDS church was actually "deconstructing" the narrative about Jesus. All the same critiques that you impose on Mormonism can be done to the Bible and the Gospels. The turtles go all the way down. There is almost no narrative out there that cannot be deconstructed by someone else. Yet, myth can reveal great truths.
