I love how comfortable MaryCarl is about pulling eggs from under her hens. Sometimes I get frustrated when people act afraid and won't even try or have to use a stick or something. We always just reached under and got them. You have a great child

I grew up with chickens for the first half of my life. Honestly I know chicken peaks don't hurt but I have always been afraid with certain hens. But I'm also the type if person that doesn't like pain of any kind, partially due to health issues and partially because I'm just a big scaredy cat lol

That Emu pool water is probably good to encorporate to a compost pile set close by, or a worm bed. That Emu loves the tone of your voice. I know he wants to help if he had the right tools. At least he is on the entertainment committee, and great company. I really like how you organized your family farm. Even the animals have a cooperative nature. I love watching , in between working my own 2 city lots. Built a grape Arbor yesterday, and purchased 3 more dwarf fruit trees, cherry, peach and Gala Apple, have a pear, and 2 figs, blue Berry, ever bearing red raspberry, e b strawberry, and thornless blackberry, green & red seedless grapes, plus Garden veggies with a self built concrete pond in the middle for watering the garden. I love the Spring and Watching everything growing.. tms poetOhio

I adore y’all. I miss my precious man so badly. If he was here, we would be enjoying the great outdoors and I know he would love to have a freeze dryer. Y’all make me smile. The love between you two and your precious child, the happiness of the pets, the wonderful enjoyment of gardening and the great outdoors. Sometimes I get teary at all I miss, but y’all give me such joy. And I’m so happy for y’all. Hopefully, soon, I will be able to buy a freeze dryer. I love to cook from scratch and I know I would enjoy freeze drying delicious fresh fruits, vegetables, and even meats. 🥰❤️. Love to y’all from Rome, Georgia.

I thought you might have given some of those carrot tops to the ducks, goats, and chickens, and tarp over the rotten ones in the ground! Scott is doing the"carrot harvest display dance" for everyone! That zucchini bread sounds delicious, MC! Such a colorful carrot display! The lay away plan sounds like the same as Vita Mix had (or has) when I bought my mixer in the early 90's. I sent money to them and when I paid the amount of the mixer, they sent it to me! No fees or charges! It sounds the same as the freeze dryer plan. I can sit and listen to your family talk about everyday things all day! I love your regional accent and your down home sayings and expressions! God Bless!

When our Mom passed away we found several loaves of Zuchini bread in her freezer that were over 10 years old. They were wrapped in aluminum foil, butcher paper, cling wrap with several loaves then placed into plastic shopping bags. Within a few days we had eaten 10 loaves of zuchini bread. lol Nothing wrong with it.

I was talking to a beautiful rainbow skink while planting some bulbs. A chicken came over so fast and grabbed him and I started screaming and chasing that chicken all over the yard.
