Woodland Mills calls for a Grade 5 bolt as the shear pin (bolt) for the WC68. Make sure you don't use just any bolt! Nice work with getting rid of your slab pile and using the chips for ground cover. I've been using chips instead of growing grass for over 30 years around my home.

I have the same issue with my Woodland Mills chipper too. Now that they've come out with the Pro series ones with the second fly wheel to minimize clogging, I'm wishing I'd waited a bit to buy mine. Anyway; first world problems! :) What I typically do is slow the feed rate down a little bit when doing bigger pieces (or stringy pieces) so it can chew at them a little more. I also found that I was taking a bit more material than recommended and adjusted that setting slightly too. Both made a big difference.

You can lay suitably sized green branches longwise on the gutters and road streams; these will slow the runoff and catch solids. The other thing is shade cloth placed over wire mesh and placed in the rain gutters to trap sediment for reuse

Those mini-split heat pumps are worth the money. Easy to install, too. I've only had one inside heat exchanger go bad over the years. It's easily replaced, still going fine. I've had one sitting in my detached garage/workshop for a couple of years. I need to install it after I'm done with solar installation.

I later found out about the different Sheer strength grades, but finally parted ways with my woodchipper, because unlike yours, mine had no mechanical feeder, and it was a pain to operate.
