Being cold getting out of the hot tub has out weighed the fun of being in it. We only use ours spring and fall but less and less every year. Everybody is different but for us, hot tubs are like pools they seem like a good idea until you actually have one. Ive sworn off any and all pools and almost the same way about hot tubs. By the time you get to be 50 years old, nothing is fun anymore.

Forestry rules are tricky, I remember when the local forest team burned down Billy Browns home (Shack) he built for his family to live in totally on federal property.

I know you all need new content, for me water videos are my least favorite but I still watch so you all make a nickel off my view lol

I love the cable balustrade look. I used in on all my decks and exterior stairs on my Sydney Australia home. It is nice to be able to look right past it, but know it is there to keep things from going over the edge.

When you were stringing the cables on the steps I noticed that 2 of the screws holding the post bracket in place were visible on the underneath side of the step. Maybe you should add a block underneath to secure the screws and prevent anyone or anything from getting snagged on a screw.

What I quite didn't understand is why didn't you run the cable continuously around the long railing eliminating all those extra connectors? I'm sure the cable would have tensioned around the 45º angle part of the deck! Maybe it's one of those things... "You have to be there to understand it?" It's all done and WHAT A NICE JOB!! If you made your jig out of 2 by instead of 1/4", you could use it to ensure the holes were level. Get a longer drill bit so it goes all the way through. Don't worry about the tearout on the opposite side. You're covering it with a grommet anyway.
