The entire album is incredible. The lyrics, the beats, it was all so well done. JHope did an amazing job. Jack in the box (the new album) is also quite different from Hope World (his first mixtape). Also, I loved your reaction. Hope you listen to the whole album!

This album is a masterpiece. If you decide to listen to the other tracks then please make sure to at least once listen in order- Because it's litteraly like a book: it tells a story. He actually specificly asked his fans to listen in order. He thought about everything, not just lyricly but also how to it sounds from one track to another. And he brings out new flows (as he always does) and makes it unique. If you want to react to it I would love to see that! But there's no more music videos from this album, so maybe you just wanna listen on your own time? That's totally up to you - I just hope you'll listen to it.

They've done solo and unit projects throughout the years while working together on group projects. All the different flavors and colors each members bring is what makes them shine brighter together as BTS. RM & Suga got 2 mixtapes under their belts plus more including JHope's mixtape. This 2nd chapter is wrecking us all (best way possible) and we continue on with their growth and maturity as artists and individuals. ARMYs are super spoiled by the amount of contents they're blessing us with and I'm loving it! 😭💜 This is definitely another side of JHope that he's letting us see. Growth for sure.

aahhh I'm sure you're gonna love the album, because it has such a beautiful flow of songs that really tell a story and he shows what he's capable of musically and lyrically and it's just SO HIM in its entirety :') haven't stopped listening to it once since it dropped and haven't felt this excited about an album as a whole in a long time !!!

Glad you liked 'Arson', j-hope worked on 'Jack in the box' very hard. He said he wanted to show another side of himself, a darker one. His new album has 10 songs connected together perfectly with the theme of Pandora's box as an intro. Definitely a phenomenal album! I hope you get a chance to listen to it! Some people aren't happy with this side of him because they expected another 'Hope World'. 'Hope World' is his mixtape that has some bright & feel good songs such as 'Daydream' & 'Piece of Piece'. I'm very happy you support this side of him, thank you for appreciating his hard work!

I LOVED Hope World so much. I still listen to it almost dayly. That's why I'm so suprised how much I love Jack In The Box as well. But there's just something about his flow that gets me hooked. And when I read the lyrics I'm always amazed by his talent and some of the songs even brought tears in my eyes.

He’s always had a very unique sound he has developed, he was the one who produced Dionysus one of their most epic intense songs. But I love this side and the story he told. These are the most two intense tracks but others like the lyrical song Equal Sign about equality and prejudice is just beautiful.

And he did so good on this music video as well! The explosions and fire were real while him doing it in one-take. There's behind the scene footage and he says he's nervours about the explosions but he still did it and did SO GOOD. He's very dedicated to his art and extremely hardworking and detail oriented. (The "ARSON" fire at the end were cgi)

The whole album is amazing and should be listened to from start to finish in order. Same for his Hope World mixtape. The lyrics on both albums are phenomenal. My favorite (if I can ever choose one) from Hope World is Piece of Peace. Its follow up song on this album is called Equal Sign. The lyrics are so gorgeous. Another song on this album called Stop (korean title: there are no bad people in the world) also has such beautiful and thought provoking lyrics. Personally, What If and Safety Zone hit hard for me on this album.

You should do an entire album review. He wrote it to flow from one song into the other and it's only 22 minutes. :) J-Hopes previous mixtape is nothing like this. It's AWESOME, but very different. He said he specifically didn't dance or wear bright colors because he wanted people to focus on the music and lyrics. All the official audio tracks our out, but there are no subs.

he went of a funk route very bouncy very unique on his first one, the second one was also funky but he's showing a darker side with more hip hop type beats very old school, but a new twist, he sampled wutang's old dirty bastard for one of his tracks and it got cleared

‘He focusing on all people who love and support him rather than internet comments’ such a good words! JHope and BTS is kinda lucky because they are surrounded themselves in such good environment. But they also motivate me to surround myself with supportive people. I wish I heard this when I was younger… JHope’s previous work is kinda of ‘party anthem’ with dark lyrics. You can check Daydream, Chicken Noodle Soup, or Outro: Ego. He is a good lyricist imo, and his music is dope with deep base sound.

I appreciate your thoughts about individual creative freedom vs group activity. These things are true and often a problem for other groups, but not for BTS. They have always done solo work too. They have always encouraged, celebrated and been proud of one another's solo work.

I just found your channel today, and I'm glad to see you finally start to delve into Bangtan's solo work! The 3 rappers have been consistently releasing solo tracks and albums over the last 10+ years and it's seriously amazing stuff. I noticed you often say your favourite genre is hip hop and you love the moments when they rap in BTS songs, but until now you haven't reacted to many of their hip hop or rap-heavy songs, which are a big part of their identity. There's so much you haven't gotten to, you've really just scratched the surface!!! It's kind of an old song, but to give you a taste of their roots I recommend the track 'Hip Hop Lover' where they talk about their influences and what hip hop means to them. Their Cyphers 1-4 are classic (the live Cypher Medley is awesome as well). 'UGH', 'Ddaeng', 'Outro: Tear', 'Nevermind', 'Move' and 'Ma City' are a few rap/hip hop BTS songs. There are great live performances for all of those too, and you may be interested in videos from the youtube channel DKDKTV which explain cultural references in the lyrics. The 3 rappers each have solo albums/mixtapes. For music videos you could try RM's 'Intro: Persona', 'Awakening' and 'Do You' or his collab with Wale called 'Change'. Suga goes by the name AGUST D when he's solo - try 'Daechwita', 'AGUST D' and 'Give It To Me'. For j-hope I'd recommend 'Daydream', 'Boy Meets Evil', or if you're feeling brave his entire headlining set from Lollapalooza 2022, which absolutely blew me away. An extra personal recommendation I can't resist is the series of solo tracks from their concept album 'Wings', which each tell a personal story of the member singing, but when put together also form an emotionally powerful narrative. That album was really a game-changer for them. The tracks in order are: Begin Lie Stigma First Love Reflection Hey Mama Awake Finally I noticed even though you've been reacting to BTS for some time you still seem pretty fuzzy on the details of their career and story (and oh boy is it a story). There are lots of guide videos out there, but I personally recommend 'A Guide To BTS Members: The Bangtan 7' which gives a good overview of who they are and a very brief taste of their history (though really there's a LOT more to the story of their gradual 10-year rise from extremely humble beginnings to worldwide stardom, which never could have been predicted. It almost seems unbelievable if you didn't see it happen first-hand). ANYWAY, that video is a good place to start, and to add incentive, a reaction to that will probably get a lot of views since people tend to search for those reactions specifically ;)

Great reaction! You have to check out the whole album 'Jack In The Box'! You'll love it. Start to finish it is great. The story it tells, he put a lot of thought into the order of songs. The lyrics in every song! '= (Equal Sign) and Arson is my favorites right now from the album but it is not by a lot because every song, even the intro that sets the tone and 'Music Box: Reflection' that takes you into the second part is great. I hope you react to it but even if you don't react to it you have to listen to it! There is also an interview with him about the album, all from making it to him talking a little about each track etc. the video is called *"j-hope 'Jack In The Box' Album interview"* and is uploaded on their channel BANGTANTV. I think you will find it interesting.

I feel like I keep hearing people say this sound is unexpected from him but theres examples of this kind of darker concept and grungy beats in earlier stuff too :) Check out 1Verse if you havent yet! the rappers have all released solo mixtapes before. they were released for free and went unpromoted . it was used as an outlet for them to hone in on their style and say their personal opinions that dont reflect on the group. RM released two mixtapes, RM in 2015 and MONO in 2018. SUGA released two as well under the name AGUSTD, AGUSTD in 2016 and D-2 in 2020. JHOPE has released one previously called HOPEWORLD in 2018. thru their mixtapes you really get a first hand witness of their musical growth. this new era of bts they are putting their personal individual growth in the forefront, choosing to promote and monetize their own solo works under the collective belt of bts.
