Crazy that when Shigaraki had killed his family and was walking around by himself on the street with everyone ignoring him, if he had bumped into Deku the same way Eri did in Season 4, everything would've been avoided. You know that Deku would've been that one person who would refuse to just abandon a child in distress.

Suzy: "You can't feel sorry for Shigaraki you need to kill him" Deku: *Reveals the truth about Shigaraki inside being a crying child who wants to he saved and that he wants to reach out to that hurt boy* Suzy: "I TAKE IT ALL BACK!" Seriously though it's so heroic that Deku can put aside the resentment he has for Shigaraki and not keep himself blind from the truth that some of these villains, Shigaraki included are just hurt people and this was the result of that pain and even if they have or are doing despicable things, if deep down they want to be genuinely saved, then a true hero must reach out to them. I also love how Deku doesn't say he won't kill him like he's not naive enough to rule that out as an option but that he wants to do the right thing in at least try to save the victim he saw within Shigaraki.

Deku revealing his motivation to why he doesn't want to kill Shigaraki is so heroic because it brings up the question is a heroes job only to save innocent people? Or also people who have/are doing terrible things? Not saying they should be excused of their crimes, they deserve to be brought to justice but if they do want to be rescued, is it not a true heroes job to reach out to them? Deku here answered that question and it's yes regardless of what they have or are doing if an individual genuinely wants to be saved then a hero should at the bare minimum reach their hand out to them. It's something nobody's ever done for Shigaraki and if someone had perhaps things would've been completely different. This is also such a painful and lonely path because nobody else would support the idea of saving Shigaraki, but I think it's definitely the right decision for hero society in general. If Deku can save the face of fear Shigaraki then the perspective of hero society can be completely changed for the better. Also like to add that it's cool Deku said that he wouldn't rule out killing Shigaraki if he ends up having no choice, not naive that he'd rule out such an option if the situation proves it impossible to save him. But as long as the possibility is there Deku will take it.

You know what the screwed up thing is to make you cry even more popular theory going around saying that dekus mother is Nana's secret daughter and that deku is also her grandson the theory says that shigaraki and him are cousins they're basically the same person but they both live different lives one was branded to be a villain one was branded a hero

I'm not against trying to save a villain from the past that turned them into the villains they are, but some people are villains simply because they enjoy the anarchy, the devastation, the havoc they can reek. Some villains can only be saved through death

Just my opinion but I don't see killing Shigaraki as saving him but destroying him. I think that Gran Torino said that just as a reminder to Deku to not rule out killing him, I don't really think Gran Torino actually sees death for Shigaraki as a salvation but just to try and talk Deku into killing him.

I just wanna be clear: I do hope Shigaraki can be saved. But if not, Deku may not have much choice but to kill him. I don't like the idea of a hero killing anyone, but it comes down it and it comes to saving the villain at the cost of many lives or saving the people at the cost of the villain, I believe it should be the villain to perish. If they can be stopped or saved, then go for it. But if the cost doing so comes at a high price, eliminate them

@nathanielfrias7135 That sounds a lot like the Twice Hawks situation. Hawks didn't want to do it and tried to convince Twice and if the circumstance was different he wouldn't have killed him to stop him but seeing that letting Twice live would've led to him using his quirk in that moment to create an even more horrifying situation, Hawks was left with no choice but to end him. I see your point, and I won't give any spoilers but as a reader, I'm very hopeful that won't happen here. Story ain't over of course the jury is out on how this'll end.
