My beloved husband is seeking something that only God who is our Lord Jesus Christ can and has already healed. The pridefulness, unknowing of who God is, bitterness, anger, mental anger, disappointments, arguments, etc. creates so much strife and unrest on my husband 😢 where if it were not an issue he is loving and kind. The brokenness is so hard but thats exactly what's needed for the Lord to bring him to repentance for choosing his own way. I stand with the Truth of God because it is my call.

Thank you ! And God bless you I’m going through separation because of my own mistakes and the stopping of my self growth. I hurt my wife too bad and she wanted out. She’s happy now and even talking to someone. But we have two kids together and still live together. Part of me wants to walk but the God in me knows I must stand. Many men I know would walk but the God in me knows that she is my Rib and I need to stand for myself and her. This marriage will work in Jesus name ! May anyone going through be encouraged. When my marriage of 28 years collapsed, people at church said things like "new beginning" as if they were excited for me. It was awful. Most of the church doesn't believe God can and does restore marriages. I have been standing for 8 years since he divorced me. I am so content in my life right now, it's hard to get my head around why I'm standing. It isn't for my joy, fulfillment or even companionship. It's not for me anymore - I'm filled with God's goodness on every side. It's only for glory to God and a testimony of his covenant loyalty. Truth is I don't need it anymore. Am I still standing? I don't know. I bless my husband and I don't disparage what he did and understand why he had to do it. I want him healed and whole - walking in his identity in Christ. If marriage restoration in this life is a piece of that - then yes I am still standing. I will never remarry unless to him or til death do we part.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am standing for my marriage and am on the 6th month. Wife has moved out and does not talk to me. One thing I found out quick was how I could not rely on the church we were going to. The people I knew there would shun and avoid me after my spouse separated from me, including the pastor. I tried to reach out for counsel, prayer and Biblical advice several times and it went nowhere. It's sad but I found that the Lord had to bring complete strangers into my life to show me the love of God. These people I did not even know would pray for me. He is so faithful and I am glad that through this he has shown me that the true church is not a building, but in the hearts of his people.

You know... When the hospital stops giving medicine, providing options for the sick, stops caring for the sick and feeble, quits and turns away people at the Door and walk past you while your bleeding out, they cease from being a hospital the same way some churches stopped being a house of prayer and deliverance. God has a way of showing you who people really are when going through test and trials. God be praised for raising up people to help and encourage you where you are... Hey, you two, thank you so much for continuing to share your story. Husband, when you said that you were fed up, I thought how we don’t get so much fed up with our spouses, but with all of the other junk in our lives that we aren’t dealing with. It seems like the easiest thing to do is pull the plug on the person who is nearest to us, as a quick fix, and with devastating consequences. I know that when all of the junk builds up in our lives, from our past, expectations, disobedience, secret sins, it all rises to the surface one way or another and not only drowns us, but our family and friends as well. I will be praying for your newfound restoration, ministry and all those who are being fed by your story.

GM Vicki, Just know that God will finish what he started. Do not let what you see distract you from Gods promises or covenant. This is what happens when prodigals get in too deep and have blinders, they say stuff they dont mean, forget there promises, focus only on themselves, bu God. I know this to be true as this is Shon. replying to you and I too went through some things and blamed everyone else for some of the bad stuff instead of first looking in the mirror at self. "what did I contribute to our problems?" is not a question we first ask ourselves. However, when we get out of self and question God about our own selves, we will get answers. He knows how to reach us where we are, his brokenness cannot be fixed by you, but God. Just make sure when God has that encounter with him, you are ready with open arms to receive. Stay encouraged

Church folks are the most dangerous to take your problems to.. don't you even try letting any of them know what you're going through in your marriage or family. your problems and situations will worsen, they'll start giving you bad advice and consoling. it will be like you're washing your dirty clothes outside, for the whole world to see. Instead, keep your shit, and take all your problems on your knees to GOD THE FATHER, THROUGH JESUS. I guarantee! you'll win, win, and win again.... Lesson number 1.
@anuncommonlove1112 Жыл бұрын
6hebproblem is the church folk part....not everybody that goes to church and calls his name knows who God is. The big difference is people who know of him but has never had and encounter or relationship with him. Anyone who has had an encounter with him never leaves his presence the same. When we have a relationship and encounter we treat people as God has loved us considering ourselves. This is why some of us do what we do now helping those who have been left behind due to so called church folk.... Be blessed

I would say get away from the home together and just go somewhere whether to park, beach, dinner, something that will allow a fresh scenery I order to have a real and honest conversation with no judgment and ask him how is he feeling. The hardest thing to do is listen completely without responding right away. After he speaks, turn around and tell him first what you heard with out adding anything or taking anything out. Doing this will let him know you heard his words and that you care. Later you respond to each thing accordingly in a calm soothing manner(a kind answer turns away wrath) and allow God to work through you both. Most importantly, Pray before any of this happens... 😁🙏

Pick up the kids and go home. The two months since this change happened he refused to go anywhere with me. We have spoke about some of the issues he had with me and I apologized started going to counseling and spending time with God more getting healed from past hurt trauma and baggage brought in the marriage . Why most of the time the black woman has to stand for the marriage? Why it's mostly the black man leave the marriage by committing adultery or walking away from the marriage? Why is he the weaker vessel when the Bible states the woman is the weaker vessel? Would he had stood for the marriage if his wife had committed adultery and left?
@anuncommonlove11122 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for reaching out.. It's an amazing set of questions that I can't do them justice by trying to completely undress the mind, will and purpose of God through a man. However, I do believe that all of us are made for unique reasons for his glory. We have several men who have chimed in who didn't leave but the women have, yes there are more women standing than men thus far only from what I currently see and hear. However, in this place God has us, we are learning that there are far more facets and dynamics of complete surrender to God and each other that we are now being exposed to. To generally speak on behalf of all would be belittling to the few and vice versa. One thing we do know is when God is first in every area of our lives, we will always treat our significant others in a manner that pleases HIM.

Hey sis. Praying for you. It is not a matter of the black woman standing for their marriage there are many woman and men who are standing for their marriage. People leave marriages period. The enemy is real and whatever he can do to influence or temp you he will and if you are weak he can get to you. The battle starts in the mind and if the enemy can get you there that is usually all he needs....however sometimes we get in our own heads and begin to go our own way. This is why the word tells us to ,"Trust in the Lord....lean not on your own understanding...." Proverbs 3:5-6. I understand exactly what you mean when you say the weaker vessel. As a black woman of God I have asked God, "why do I have to be the strong one and stand" . God answered me and said, "Many are called few are chosen ..."Matt. 22:14. Why did God choose Joseph, why did God choose Jonah, Why did God choose Elijah, why did God choose Noah......Why did God choose Jesus! None of these individuals had to be obedient..they chose to and some with a lot of push back but because they loved God and chose to follow His Word....many were saved. The fight is much greater than what we see. The facts do not outweigh the greater purpose. When you marry, both man and wife have responsibilities. God will deal with the person not being obedient. As you stand you have to focus on you and know that God got you. Every man that I know of whose wife has stood for their marriage have been so grateful that she did not give up on God or him. "Do not grow weary in well doing for you shall reap if you faint not'"Gal. 6:9...There are so many scriptures that encourage obedience and standing for righteousness...ultimately we are all called to stand for righteousness.....curses are broken, souls are saved, generations are saved when a person stands.....Standing for your marriage is standing for righteousness...God hates divorce. It doesn't matter what the other person chooses to do God is a good God and he honors those who obey him. Love you in Christ. Be encouraged.

@@barefeetconcrete Thanks for sharing your opinion however you miss to say the divorce rate is high among black couples than any other races. @@yvettecain7447 I said a lot and it's backed up with Word so it's not just an opinion. Wanting answers and just being bitter is two different things. Your tone even in your responses are nice nasty. I here you loud and clear.. Many can be saved, but choose to give up do to what they see. The other thing is trusting God through the whole process and knowing that anything is possible with him if we walk in what we say we believe. The other thing is transparency which many don't want others to know that they've gone through something as to not be judged or looked down upon, so they don't share. I believe that long standers don’t truly believe and some are only out for their satisfaction and to heal their own pain or to win over the OW. I have a testimony my husband cheated, I left while pregnant it was very ugly he didn’t even show up to my sons birth and I had to take a DNA test cuz he accused me of cheating. He married the OW .. I was completely ready to let go and the Lord showed me the whole wedding was fake. I didn’t give them any attention cuz I knew this wouldn’t last I just knew my husband loved me and was mad I left. Fast forward we have a birthday party together and he wants to rekindle I say no cuz I felt like the power he had over my emotions was gone and I wanted it to stay that way. I denied him abt 2 more times.. and even once last year. I was the prodigal and I didn’t even know it I thought these other men was better but one night after realizing I was letting another man go cuz I didn’t love him I came to Christ and was shown my husband. I cried cuz my husband has still not changed plus he has been in a relationship since I sent him over to her house trying to “be free” I regret those moments so bad now my stomach hurts .. cuz the devil is moving fast he has been forced to engage again all because the Lord told me to leave my son with him and her I felt betrayed but I trust God .. this pain has purpose I see the future already. We are returning to each other. You must have faith. I thought we were done that first time, a wedding? A dna test? But God brought us past that and now I know we will get pass this one.

Than you so much for tuning in and the feedback.. In any relationship we are always going to go through whether the woman or the man is unhappy for whatever reason. There were many things that I held on to from my past and showed up in my future cause I didn't deal with them. We men have a tendency to sweep things under the rug and pretend we good only to find they've made a home in our present. So it didn't take much for me to become discouraged, irritated, bitter and so on (see imdealingwith "Restoration of a man") to begin to point fingers as to why I feel the way I do. Truth is, the process humbled me in order to really enjoy what God blessed me with..
