God Bless Percy Bady, Darius Brooks, Carliss Moody Jr and Tyrone Block and Marvin Winans, they breathed new life into the Thompson Community Choir upon their arrival in the 80s and extended Rev. Brunson's ministry all the way into the 21st Century, the choir outlived HIM!!! A Wonderful Service they performed for him.

Sis. Holloway was screaming, but she was never sharp or flat. I wrote a church play when i was a kid and this song was the climax. I had all the players going crazy like the church scene on the blues brothers. Now when everytime i hear this song I picture total pandemonium in church...which is pretty accurate for a holy ghost banger like this one. Im laughing so hard right now.

I have all of their music from the very first recording in 1963 (Yes, Jesus Loves Me) until the last one. The genius of Rev. Milton Brunson, Jessy Dixon, Darius Brooks, Percy Bady, Tyrone Block and Carlis Moody Jr.

I’m not a Christian, but this song reminds me of just how far I’ve come since the days when I first heard it.😐 I remember my mother driving across the country, all by herself, with my siblings and I, searching for where she said her god wanted her to be. Where she could be a blessing to others and do community outreach. We were so SERIOUSLY poor back then, but we followed where she lead. We all sang in various churches, as invited guests. I remember how doubtful churches would be when we told them to turn the mics down a bit, because we were LOUD!😁 One woman. Six children. We sounded like an ARMY.💯 Mics, or no mics. Doors and windows opened, or closed…if we were singing in a church…EVERYONE OUTSIDE HEARD! When we stepped up, they’d be in their seats/pews. When we walked out, they were running around, laying in the aisles, speaking in tongues…🤔 Anyway, this was one of the songs we sang. Since this was the first version we’d all ever heard, this was about the way we sang it.😶 Ah! Those were the days…😌
