I got saved back on May 31, 1987 while the choir was singing this song. I had a big bag of marijuana in my purse so that I could smoke after church. But God had a plan for me that day. Thank You Jesus for writing my name in the LAMB"S BOOK OF LIFE. I HAVE BEEN SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. HALLELUJAH, THANK YOU JESUS, GLORY TO GOD.

I recall sitting in the front row when they came to my church to sing! LORD!!!! I broke all the way down to the ground as they performed this song!!! If it didn't cut me up, down, upside down, around, back & forth, on the diagonal & right down the middle (lol) I would give it up! I felt like I had been in a war in hell with Satan & won! Tore up from the floor up! This is STILL my song many years later! Praise the LORD for His deliverance!!!

I remember way back in 1984 (it wasn't that long ago) listening to the radio. There was a call in contest to win this album. Guess who won? I did! I was sooo happy because I absolutely fell in love with "There is No Way." Sadly, I scratched the album the first week after receiving it. Love it! I attend my former choir director's funeral last month. Talented brother. This song was played towards the end of the service. They started with just the instrumental version. Before it ended. I don't remember growing up listening to this type of music and even after I was born again, this type of gospel is not often sung in the services that I attend. I was in a service with Prophet Brian Carn and he sang this and this song ministered to me. It is so true. There is no other way!!

Prophet Brian Carn is where it's at!! I attended the Visitation Convention in Charlotte, NC last year, and it was one of the most humbling experiences I've ever had in my life...God Himself had to possess the musicians and singers, but ESPECIALLY the Musicians!!! I've never experienced that level of perfection, grace, and skill...definitely beyond comprehension

I found a brand new copy of this '84 album via ebay, and let me tell you, old school gospel doesn't get any better than this!! At their peak, the Tommies were UNTOUCHABLE!! This choir had a chemistry that no other will ever match. The voices! The hits! The albums! Gospel music was truly blessed to be graced by the presence of such a legendary group of incredible singers.

I had no idea I hadn't heard the original. I thought Ricky Dillard's was the first. THAT BRASS SECTION and... GLOCKENSPIEL!!!! OMG!!!! That gives it an entirely different aura. WOW!!!! I assumed the first time real brass was used in gospel was 'My Desire" Kirk Franklin.🤷‍♂🤦‍♂ I grew up very poor, so I heard VERY little recorded gospel from this era & basically missed out on the 80s intermittently picking up at Kirk Franklin's first album & Rev. James Moores 9th. So, discovering is a delight.This channel is an absolute BLESSING, MINISTRY, AND INSTITUTION! Thank you!
