Kafka is really starting to show as a 1.X unit, her damage multipliers are rlly bad for today's standards and it's clearly starting to show

9:00 Well I'm a dot main and there's no way u can take Kafka out of a dot team.. Kafka's personal dmg is NOT the reason she's the best dot character in the game. She is NEEDED for characters like Black swan to retrigger her stacks which gives her more stacks AND allows you to have a very high frintloaded damage too. You remove Kafka and then you only rely on the enemy's turn to get damage and now unless you have a stupidly broken physical dot demolishing enemies there's no way you can clear properly. And EVEN if we get a new physical dot character with ridiculous dot damage, Kafka will still be the best in slot. Kafka ain't a main dps but a subdps/support.

@@We-Climb 50 + fu xuan and I only miss like 20% of the time at most. Anything above 60 crit rate is diabolically high tbh. There is also many ways to buff crit rate so in battle its easy to reach 80% crit rate from 50 or 60

If you disagree, just go try a dot team without Kafka and see how bad it is when you can only do damage on the enemy's turn.

But you need attack%, EHR and a ton of speed already. Where would you even fit the crit stats in? Not to mention the current DoT units don't have crit-related traces. The crit DoT really only makes sense in SU where you can get all kinds of blessings.

@@1987jjl I think you don’t know how Nahida c2 in Genshin impact works, but in essence is that you don’t have to build crit rate and it has a fixed crit chance, I think 20%? They could do something similar by giving the harmony support have a skill fixed crit chance to crit with dot, or it can be increased by the harmony support unit’s own crit rate

the entire section about taking out kafka is only valid if her replacement can also frontload dot like her, else you're basically cutting off one leg and half an arm no matter how good that second dot character's multipliers are. however, Pokke is right in one thing: kafka's multipliers suck balls, but what people seem to not realize is that kafka was never intended to be a dot dps, her personal dmg is too low to be a main dot carry. instead of trying to raise her stat, it's a million times better to just make her fast enough and invest the rest into BS and bobin

If Hoyo wants to make Dot good they should add a unit whos ulti makes it so all the Dot stacks on the enemie are dobled and their duration is extended by 1 or 2 turns, that way a team with that and kafka would hit pretty nice damage

managed to 0-cycle kafka side with dot today, ngl e1 bobin carries hard. this gives me hope that when an actual dot support comes out it would change everything. edit: both kafka and BS are e0, I did that with tingyun instead of hwe hwe to get kafka to spam ult 4 times, but it would be possible with hwe hwe even at e0 but the rng was terrible with the energy issues (even with qpq). I almost hit 0 cycle with kafka at less than 1% health once (would be 0 had I maxed out BS's trace) but never managed to achieve that again because either kafka couldn't ult the 4th time or BS couldn't reapply her ult.

Just my copium 2 cents, I'd hold off on vertical investment for DoT for now. Since we haven't gotten anything new for DoT in so long, surely we're due for a DoT support, right? In that case you'll end up replacing one of your characters, so vertically investing in something that you're just gonna replace soon might not be the best decision

Why are people in the comments saying Dot needs a support, ruan mei is the dot support. Just because she's the only option for break teams doesn't mean she's a dedicated break support, like yall she only gives 20% break effect, that's like nothing. While all of her buffs bennefit Dot A LOT, only like 30% of her buffs work with break(10% speed, 20% be, 50% wb efficiency). Overall people are being blinded by ruan mei's 50% break efficiency, it works with Dot too, and It doesn't mean she's a dedicated break support. You can also check her release date being Next to kafka and black swan, star rail usually releases characters that work with eachother closely.

Because acheron's best team doesnt use DoT team anymore; it's jiaoqiu+robin. The only reason you use dotcheron is to make acheron to carry your kafka & blackswan, not the other way around
