There’s another guy I see on KZbin who is super pushy. The selller will say $15. He’ll say “will you take $14?” They say no and he’ll say “wow, not even $1 off? I really hate when people push sellers to sell personal belongings they haven't put out for sale, especially when they belong to someone else. It's no different than knocking on any stranger's door and going "do you have any games to sell?" at that point. The entire hope here is that they can swivel a deal before the person realizes the value by catching the seller off guard. A missing item from a set, I get, but this went so much further. The fact that this lady was out there alone just makes asking her to go inside for something even more suspicious. I see this all of the time on KZbin (sometimes from the people filming!) and I've got to wonder how many tears have been shed over something that a parent or spouse sold off that had sentimental value, all because an intimidating collector or reseller wouldn't let off. The sellers are responsible there, too, so I'm glad this lady stood her ground and didn't let that man go through her sick husband's things. He was literally after war memorabilia, which, for all he knows, be her husband's personal mementos. Imagine!

About a year ago I was in a Red White and Blue Thrift Store with my son and his girlfriend, it was early in the afternoon and they were bringing out the smaller carts full of donations. I went towards the back of the store to look at linens and that is also where their back room is and of course, standing right at the back room doors were a bunch of (what I could only assume) resellers and this poor girl barely pushed the door open to come out with her cart and these 3 guys started coming up on all sides of her grabbing stuffed animals and toys off of her cart. You could see how uncomfortable she was and they were so much bigger then her. I couldn’t help it (also come to find out she really didn’t speak much English at all), I said “yo guys let the poor girl at least get to the area with the cart, you are gonna knock her over!” When I went up to the register and I was talking to the cashier about it she told me how those guys had been warned before and were JUST allowed back in the store! I am all for anyone making an income the best way or however they can but these days a lot of these resellers act crazy! I have seen video after video of fights breaking out at the bins and I have watched reseller videos at Rummage sales where the person making the video and other (which again I can only assume are resellers) are waiting for the doors to open and once they do, almost everyone (the person making the video included) make a mad dash for the tables and are knocking each other over to get to the “good” stuff first! I myself have considered reselling because I have accumulated vintage items over the past few years so I had a good inventory to start with but I am hesitant (and I lack a little confidence in myself to do it to be honest) to do so. I come from a long line of yard salers and thrifters and I can remember back in the day going with my Mom and especially my Great Grandmom to yard sales, rummage sales and flea markets and it was so fun and you could get great items for a reasonable price. Wether you went at 8am or 1pm there was still GOOD treasures to be had. Nowadays if you aren’t there when these places start their sales or if you don’t stay at the thrift store all day and wait in the back for the new carts to come out you get the left overs. Yes, I know there is enough “stuff” for everyone I get it, however it’s not like it used to be and anyone who has thrifted or went to yard sales, rummage sales, etc. over the years (for more then 5-10 years) knows what I am talking about if you are being honest with yourself. I so sorry this has been a long rant and that is not what my comment was starting out for me but seeing how this guy was in this video just infuriated me because it is just getting worse and worse and people are getting more and more cut throat. That guy doesn’t know that lady and what she could have gone through in her past, she could have been mugged, robbed or any other number of things and that could make her uncomfortable for other reasons. So as our awesome host NC Picker has said when you go to sales be mindful of people, be courteous of people and their property and for God’s SAKE stop running into these sales like your life depends on it and stop recording videos out thrifting and when you find something saying “oh we will rescue that off the shelf” because chances are if you don’t buy it someone else will lol, but good luck to everyone out there and I know for me if I do decide to resell (which I would be doing it for income and not a hobby) I will NEVER act like some of these people and I figure I will get what I need one way or another 😉

Remember I had mentioned last week that I had a huge yard sale and how the 2 women arrived at my antique buffet at the same time after about 25 people came running up on my property from their cars that lined along my acreage when my son drove my car up frorm the bottom of my driveway to let them know that we were OPEN? Well, because I was dealing with them and my son was walking an antique sled to a woman's car, we didn't see a man walk right passed us and into my garage. Out he came walking with my son's wet suit (he's a pro scuba diving instructor) and my son's 2 fishing poles. I couldnt believe that that man had the nerve to walk into my GARAGE...which was CLEARLY not part of our sale. My son yelled up to him that they weren't for sale and to please come down away from our house and down our sale. That yard sale brought me some good money,but I don't know if I want to deal with people like the pushy people that came to my sale again. Binge watching your videos today while it's over 100 degrees outside here in the Northern California Redwoods 🌲🌲 where so we don't usually get days over 100 degrees and today is day 4 of it with more to come this week. 🥵 Stay cool.

I've had sales, and i go to many. I'll ask for a deal but if they say no its not a huge deal. But sometimes people get really rude. I had the garage set up and all we had to do is open the door and carry the all ready set up tables out At 7 in the morning, we had a lady trying to go in the side door of the garage to see things. Our sales run from 9am to 6pm, then we close it down. I told her to leave and not come back. She was not only rude but pushy. We also have last day sales where clothing is set to a dollar a brown grocery sack full. But we reserve the right to remove certain items that are very expensive or that we are going to donate. Like my daughters and now granddaughter pageant or prom dresses. Those things are expensive they will not be in the buck bag sales. Or the levi jeans or American eagle jeans. They all go back inside. The amount of people who are there right at 9 and then get upset that we've taken the good stuff away were incredible. We had one lady actually walk up on my moms porch to look in the sluding glass doors and see the dresses in the game room in the back of the house. My mother caughter opening the door to go inside 😮 That night i talked to my daughter and we kept a few of the dresses for giving to my granddaughter friends who were thinking of yrying the pageant circut and we donated the rest to the guys and dolls dress borrowing club in our town. Its for people who cant afford cute outfits for prom or weddings or dances. My granddaughter has borrowed from them for parades where we needed certain colir dresses so we figured it was a worthwhile cause. Oh and many elementary/middle and high schools have emergency closets for kids eho have accidents at school and need pants or shirts to get home after say they get sick on themselves or have period mishaps. We donate new packages of boys and girls underwear too. So remember them if you see a 6 pack of undies marked down to a couple bucks at walmart. It really does come in handy. Ive even had to borrow a new shirt to get home after a basket ball game where someone barfed down my back at an all day tournament 😮 i am just a grandma volunteer lol

I'd start by asking the lady if she would like me to call the police. For invasion of privacy and verbal aggression. I believe everybody there was feeling uncomfortable due to his unwelcome presence. I’ve had strange men contacting me at 2 and 3 am to Facebook marketplace adds specifically stating I’m not allowed by management to have people come to the property. These men will send messages like this and I QUOTE “Give address I come now” or “I am coming into your house because a picture isn’t good enough” or I only meet at 2am you come to me.” I’m a female I live alone and no way I’m having strange men in my home or meeting up because they responded to a add for a bottle of bubble bath. I really dislike entitlement and beats. It’s scary for women especially alone when a man acts all agro like this dude. I would have told him “I said no so now I’m calling the police.” I know it has definitely detoured me from selling because of all the disgusting creeps, scammers, and thieves.

How do you know he's a reseller though? You sure plastered it big and bold on the thumbnail but I didn't recall seeing or hearing any actual proof he was buying to re-sell. He was going through games quickly was my only tipoff... maybe you know him as a regular. At garage sales there always seems to be a table with a physical or imaginary "boundary" or "line" that the seller/homeowner draws and keeps everything behind it Not for Sale. They maintain their post at that line generally and have a table with cash box, etc. If they don't have things covered up with a sheet or a tarp it's okay to ask, but to actually step or reach across that "line" is bad form.

That first Boston album alone could've been worth half the of the total for everything 80 bucks... 50 cents each is a steal for an album collector because if you can't sell a few to recoup your money think of all the great albums you just picked up !
