Jett clearly rides just enough to get the job done. When Chase wasn't racing the other guys weren't that far off but when Chase is there to push him the entire moto the other guys are now nearly a minute behind. As he builds strength he will only get better which is crazy. Because he doesn't have to work as hard his body will recover better during the week as well.

@@ronmower3694 ehhh, yeah on a 250 that is true. He cleaned that up over the past year or so... a lot. Absolutley not as much as Chase. Chase cost himself a championship outdoors last year simply by caving and putting it down way too often. I don't see Jett doing that, at all. And he certainly has not thrown a championship away, Jett has only improved every year. In contrast, we see Chase doing the same things over and over. Very interested to see when Hunter goes to 450 to try and push him. For me Hunter has a bit more of a bulldog style to Jetts light balanced riding. Will be fun to watch, like he said himself he hasnt had anyone yet to really push his limits like his brother did in the 250 class, but maybe that is why he is so good. Hunter may have created Jett in a way by always being at his heels yelling at him IM HERE IM COMING GO FASTER ILL GET YOU. Jett has been running from a monster his entire 250 career then steps up to 450, the monster is gone but he can still run that pace

DV is 100% correct. Jett doesn’t have to ride over his head like Stewart did 100% of the time and that’s why Stewart spent a lot of time on the ground. Jett rides just far enough ahead to be comfortable and do his laps. He saves energy that way and is always fresh for the second motos. He can turn it up at anytime to open his gap. Jett has such smooth style and his technique is flawless and he is still a rookie in the 450 class. I don’t see anyone beating Jett straight up except maybe Jett. If Tomac comes back and rides like he was he might be closer to Jett than anyone this year. DV knows what he’s talking about! Jett rides the 450, the rest of the class the 450 rides them!

@@RubbishFPS yeah it was on show on the weekend. MX is a HP race and Hunter still found a way. It shows that Jett was using every piece of that thing last year by his speed this year. He’s found a way to carry more speed through corners and the rough stuff and now he’s got some extra HP under him. Hunter challenged him last year on the same machine so looks like hunter could be a top 3 guy off the bat next year.

Maybe, but who did James face and compare that to what Jett is facing. With all due respect to Chase and Eli, but prime Reed and Ricky Carmichael was at a higher level in correlation to the respective eras. Everts technique transfered to Jett, but grit and almost whiskey out of control R.C was simply a step above. Not to take anything away from Jett but it’s to early to say oh he was better or is better. When the carrier is set and done, one can truly compare.

Jett is winning cause he is super smooth and conserving energy, so he can push all moto! Look at how much energy Ando and Bam ride with! Jett is using 20% less energy so not only has more energy at moto end he isn’t killing his body like the others so would feel better on a Monday morning each week!! The starts, the riding efficiency makes him even harder to beat over a season! And he is a rookie! Chase should be doing what Jetts doing and Jett should be doing what Chase is doing this year!

Without sounding like a hater because I think *Jett* is good for the sport but the field is diluted & just like in the *250es Jett* benefited from his competition getting injured *(J-Mart J-Coop, Forkner)* none of that is on *Jett* he can only control what he does No *Tomac, Roczen, Barcia, Webb, Stewart, Craig, Savatgy, Nichols, Hill* others are not a 100% *Sexton, Anderson, Dylan, AC, AP* so I think things are going to be different in Supercross because going to be a stronger field but it's also going to take time to learn the *450* as it did with *RC* didn't win his first two years in the premier class except for one race at Daytona and he only did that when the second-year not the first
@michaeltaylor714611 ай бұрын
I agree with most of your comments but really only Ken Eli and Chase 😊have anything for Jett! Also a massively under reported issue for the field is Jett is an elite level starter! Hasn’t started less than top 3 all year and it’s mainly been top 2! And we know how important starts are! I’m an Aussie but even I wanted Jett to have a full field and get top tens, top 5’s then podiums and wins cause this may sound crazy but 14-0 to start your 450 career is going to be hard to live up to! The most important skill Jett has (at least right now) is that he is super easy going and not an over thinker! He’s just having fun! That plus bike skill plus consistency plus maturity plus elite starter is a devastatingly dangerous combination to his competition!!

@@michaeltaylor7146 you said you agreed with most of my comments I don't know what you disagreed with it like I started off I'm not a Jett hater or even some ignorant American because I'm a huge Chad Reed fan. As great as jetted I just think people need to keep in mind he benefited from some luck but as Chad Reed always said you have to be in it to win it I don't put the blame on jet he can only control what he does and take advantage of sad situation. Even if he's able to wrap up a perfect season I I think he's going to have a steep learning curve indoors on the 450 plus it's going to be a deeper field by then. Jet seems pretty laid-back but now that he's in the premier class and starting to make even more money that sometimes can affect personality & careers. But I will point out as calm and cool as he is when he's had real competition he tends to ride over his head when he was racing Dylan somebody called immaturity but he was trying too hard same thing happened when he was racing Forkner you almost crashed in the whoop which ruined his corner he tagged at tuffblock & ended up cross jumping and taking out Forkner J-Mart was better than him until he got hurt but the eight races he did race Jett he won the majority of them. Cooper has been pretty on par with Jett can we seen him ride a couple 450 indoors where you got some decent results he doesn't look that Great Outdoors bass been injured so the future is going to be Cooper Chase & Lawrence brothers with a couple of the old guys hanging around a couple of the new guys having their good days

You race and you think, the guy in front of me is going as fast as he can go, so I will gas it a bit more, catch and pass him. You are both riding at the top of your game. Typical scenario. Now imagine racing Jett, who is rolling around in front of you and you think the same thing. But he is simply managing you, keeping you back there, at will, using his skill to just stay enough ahead of you to beat you. Has to be one of the most frustrating things.
